In March, our monthly theme is FESTIVAL.
Can you think of locations where festivals are held? Or the name of a festival? Or an activity associated with a festival? As we were very busy in February and didn’t seem to have much time for a theme that should have been easy, let’s hope we have a bit more time for this one.
Let’s go!
Because I want more people to jump in the game, I will ask to NOT post two consecutive answers (unless there is a 24 hour period without an answer since it could mean we are stuck)
B – Balloons here in Arkansas they have the hot air balloons rise at petty jean mountain
events: We want to provide whole family entertainment with hot air balloon rides and arts n’ crafts. Booths provide food and drinks.
C = Concert at Sea, a Dutch music festival on several days at the Brouwersdam in the province Zeeland, held in the summer.
D = DOC NYC is an annual documentary film festival in New York City. Co-founded by Thom Powers and Raphaela Neihausen, the festival is the country’s largest documentary film festival with over 300 films and events and 250 special guests.
E = Electronic Picnic; a Dance festval in Purmerend a town to the north of Amsterdam in the Netherlands
G = Glastonbury festival. A very famous musical event where thousands descend to spend a few days roughing it in tents usually in the climatical weather that often occurs in Britain during the summer months, in order to see famous musicians from all over the world.
H = Harvest Festival

K- King Mango Strut- Festival is not in the title but it is in the listing of festivals under alternate festivals. Pretty funny
The King Mango Strut is an annual satirical parade held in Coconut Grove, Florida. Founded by Glenn Terry and Bill Dobson in 1982, it is held on the last Sunday of each year. The parade, which uses the motto “Putting the ‘nut’ in Coconut Grove”, is composed of floats mocking local and national stories from the previous year
L ~ Lobster Festival – Rockland, Maine August 3–7, 2022 Where you can eat all things Lobster.
M – Moomba Festival – Melbourne, Australia. March 11-14. Moomba turns 68 this year and is Australia’s largest free community festival with millions of people attending every year.
O- Oktoberfest – September 18, 2021 – October 3, 2021 Beer Festival in Munich, Germany. This festival is now held all over the World.
Q– Q Fest. “Q-FEST is an annual community celebration of the visual, musical and culinary arts in Quincy, IL
R = Reading and Leeds Festivals
The Reading and Leeds Festivals are a pair of annual music festivals that take place in Reading and Leeds in England. The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend.
S – Stratford Festival – a very popular theater festival in Stratford, Ontario, which runs from April to October!
T = Tulip Festival this was an easy one as my layout for the theme of the month was all about this spring festival with all the bulbs.
V = Virginia Arts Festival is a Norfolk-based non-profit arts presenter which serves southeastern Virginia.

I recognize it, Connie. I went to school a few miles away at SUNY – New Paltz. Woodstock was just up the road from me in Sullivan County. Everybody got wet at that one! 😀
