Have you ever made an ALPHABET album? It is a fun way to showcase photos or stories, but with an added twist.

I have created an alphabet album in the past, where each page had a title (and a topic) starting with one letter of the alphabet. Then, the pages were placed in alphabetical order, even if not in chronological order. So, for 2022, I am suggesting this long-term challenge for you. With one page every 2 weeks, we will be able to finish the year with a complete album. It is up to you to decide if you want to print it or share it otherwise.

I will share my own pages, just for ideas, but I will also give you some more words that will start with the letter of the week. Try to think of one overarching theme to use. It could be about your last vacation, a family gathering, a hobby of yours, a location, etc. Think of something that you have lots of photos of or many words you can associate with.

If you have not started yet and want to jump in, no problem. You know the alphabet so you know what letters you will have to do and you still have many months to catch up on those few pages, so don’t hesitate. There is also no deadline, so if this week’s page is done only next month, it is totally fine too.

So here is my I layout.

Of course, you can use words in your own language too. As you can see, this album was done in French.

Here are some other words that could be used as title/theme:

Iconic, Ideal, Idol, Ice, Identical, Icicle, Impatient, Illustration, Impeccable, Independent, Inspire, Invitation, Imagination, Informal, Invisible, Itchy, Impression, Indoor, Injured, Impossible, Interior, Instinct, Intention, Invention, Igloo, Infant, Impersonation, and many more.

What will your I layout be?

I have been working a bit ahead on my alphabet because in a couple of days now I’m going to the States to visit my daughter and the grandkids. At least as the requiered PCR test on wednesday is negativ, so fingers crossed. All the necessary paperwork is ready and it is a lot these days. I don’t take my laptop with me as I’m travelling on my own and that will be a bit to much to handle! However I have my tablet with me so I at least can watch some masterclasses on  quiet moments and I will check in the Campus to see what everybody is doing. I’m very happy that after more then 2 years I can go!!! I’m flying to Seattle and probably will pass overhead by some of you in Canada or the USA and I’ll wave.

I is for Interstate. I-75 specifically. My town has 3 exits on I-75. The main exit (middle one) is to a main road into town that locals lovingly call “Hamburger Row” (actually Bellefontaine St.) since that is where the fast food restaurants were built along with other restaurants. There are some motels in this area as well. Opposite side of interstate at this exit is a truck stop that has been around for longer than interstate. That’s because it was essential to the truckers that traveled state route 33 which runs south of town. The exit south of town is actually to state route 33 which had several exits into town as well. The last exit brings you into the northeast section of town. Depending on which direction I am traveling on I-75, I can use any of the exits. Although I do tend to stay away from “Hamburger Row”. The other two are more convenient for me.

I quite often describe my town as being at the “intersection of I-75 and St Rt 33”.

Mary and Bonnie thank you so much and I’ll make a ton of pictures for sure. I hope to see some lovely flowers and views that are different from what I see at home. But the bulk of those photos will be from the grandkids!! After more than 2 years they will look so grown up to me in spite of the videocalls we had.

                  Bonnie those icecreams look delicious.

I, the continuation of my alphabet album. Because I didn’t have any self-made pictures yet, and it was difficult at the moment to make my own, I used google street maps for the pictures. For this page I used a template from Carole that we received during the template workshop
