This is a brand-new workshop that will illustrate 7 ways to create greeting cards for any occasion you want.

What a great idea for a workshop. I’m sure many of us use PSP to make cards and will learn a lot from you.
I will be there on the 14th – 15th – 16th – 17th. For the last 3 days it will depend on my WiFi connection in Mexico

I have registered! Many of you will already know that for many years now, well since I moved to Canada I have created my own cards/ecards/ calendars. Back in the early days I used Picture It and Publisher by Microsoft. Before switching to PSP. On occasion I will create an envelope to match the card. I have several envelope templates, some which I have created myself, some using Carol’s envelope scripts, others my own templates. There is something very rewarding and personal in creating one’s own cards, using one’s own photos. As always, the recipients, are in awe, regarding each one as a unique, priceless piece of work, created specifically for them.
I have registered too! Of course I have and some of you will know that I always have made my own cards one way or the other. I started doing so by using paper and pencils, cutting out embellishments and glueing them on etc. But now in the digital world I make my cards on the computer. I started with Data Becker that no longer exists. After a couple of years I bought my first PSP and from there on the rest is history. I always use my own photos, often of flowers and make my cards from scratch or use a template. I find it very rewarding that I can create cards that are special for the recipients. A couple of years ago I had handsurgery and was in a cast for 2 months, so I couldn’t make my X-mascards as usual. My family and friends understood but were, a year later, very happy to get their cards again!
Starting to prepare for the challenge. I have several elderly aunts that knit, crochet, and sew. Thought I’d create knitting effect cards for them.
I have registered for this card workshop as cardmaking is my main use for PSP…. look forward to seeing everyone’s creative projects…. best wishes to everyone

I’ve registered, but I’m not very good at it, never send them, and have severe troubles when it comes to print. The only cards I’ve figured out how to print are postcards….namely dues notices for the Daffodil Society, LOL! I feel triumphant because my name and address are on the backside, and facing the right direction! I also just did a postcard for daffodil show publicity for 2023, single sided.
Anything that folds is a headache for me, so I am looking forward to learning some tricks! I also have a double sided printer, so perhaps that will help me?!
Do any of you remember when cards were a single piece of paper folded into quarters, and not made from cardstock at all?
Sue #85380 I also used Publisher for years! For a family newsletter about everything our family did, a booklet for the fanclub of my favourite singer I was the chairman/woman? of for years, etc.
Then I switched to cardmaking with cardstock, with a machine, now an electric one (Couture creations Go power), at first a manual one. With PSP I was never satisfied about how it looked, very amateurish, not nice enough to send.Corrie
#85392 I used Data Becker too years ago, there was also Davilex who had nice programs to use.I’m very happy I bought a Cricut machine, I use it for paper, vinyl, iron on etc. I really could use an aid for the housekeeping, addictive hobby’s!
