Have you ever made an ALPHABET album? It is a fun way to showcase photos or stories, but with an added twist.
I have created an alphabet album in the past, where each page had a title (and a topic) starting with one letter of the alphabet. Then, the pages were placed in alphabetical order, even if not in chronological order. So, for 2022, I am suggesting this long-term challenge for you. With one page every 2 weeks, we will be able to finish the year with a complete album. It is up to you to decide if you want to print it or share it otherwise.
I will share my own pages, just for ideas, but I will also give you some more words that will start with the letter of the week. Try to think of one overarching theme to use. It could be about your last vacation, a family gathering, a hobby of yours, a location, etc. Think of something that you have lots of photos of or many words you can associate with.
Are you up to jump into this 2022 project?
Remember that like anything in the Campus, there is no strict commitment. If you skip a week or a month, it is ok. If you want to catch up later, it is fine too.
So here is my B layout.

Of course, you can use words in your own language too. As you can see, this album was done in French.

My letter B is for “Boom van het jaar” which means Tree of the Year. This Tilia platyphyllos won the Dutch election for tree of the year in 2020 and came six in the European election. Its branches are very heavy and have to be supported by an iron frame. Its name is the “Moeierboom” meaning Mothertree and it is still giving new shoots that are cultivated and planted elsewhere. Nowadays a treesurgeon is monitoring the tree and its maintenance. Only a couple of weeks ago a drunken motorist crashed into the frame but the tree wasn’t harmed but the frame had to be mended.
The same fonts, another template and the background is a photo of the tree with a blend mode (Luminance) and a little blur.

Alpha book challenge…B has 2 pages. The green page if of my high school days and the red page is my senior exploits. Basketball was the only sport available to girls when I was in high school but we were lucky as most schools did not offer girls sports. I made the team when I was in 8th grade so I played 5 years in high school. Intramurals in college and recreational play as an adult and finally senior competition. My Mom also played high school ball. Some of my best memories are of me shooting hoops with my Mother. The photo on the upper right corner of the red page is the 5 founding members of NOVA United, our senior women’s basketball association. I designed the logo for NOVA.

My letter B is for my Brother, Beer, and Budweiser – we took a tour of St. Louis in 2013 and one of the stops was the Budweiser Brewery. A really interesting tour as we got to see how beer is made in a modern brewery and got some of the history of Budweiser. We did get to see a Clydesdale, but I saw more Clydesdale horses (younguns) at the Busch Gardens in the middle of St. Louis on another trip there. The papers are mine. The beer glasses are from a PSP tube. The title is my stitched B and the font is Brush 455 BT; the narrative is Arial. Lots of fun and I’m ready to continue on with the Alphabet Challenge.

Here’s my second entry for the January Alphabet Album. This is Letter B. My focus will be on my rather large book collection for the entire album. In Letter A and now B all the titles start with the appropriate letter for the page. I may change to authors on another entry. Again, the B monogram is the free font CAT Altgotisch. This time I used Carole’s script Scattered Photos to arrange the book covers. Also used both bookshelves from Carole at the bottom. I found the Dr. Seuss quote and remembered to lock the transparancy when I painted some of the letters brown.

Pirrko, I also look at the sky a lot, especially when there are clouds.I used Cassel‘s lifted photos script and the Vellum Paper tutorial in the scrapbook campus.

This is the oldest botanical garden in Belgium. The university laid out the garden in 1738 for its medical students. It is situated in the city centre and has an extent of 2.2 hectares.
Today, this unique place is managed by the city of Leuven. It has created a tropical conservatory, a water and fruit garden and the sunken garden. This, together with the picnic benches, the sea of flowers and art projects, make the Botanical Garden a favourite resting place for inhabitants and visitors.
It’s that time of year again! Income tax returns. I prepare books for several farmers in readiness for their accountants to do their tax returns. I’m going to be a little quiet on here for a while. I’m cracking on to get them done, while the weather has plummeted yet again into another deep freeze after a blizzard 2 days ago. The school buses didn’t run again today, with a wind chill of -47c. I ‘ve just had a quick browse through the forum. Everyone is continuing to produce wonderful pages. I created this page as a distraction from spread sheets.

Cristina, please pass on my very best wishes to Annie, I have missed her and yourself. The scripting course has consumed so much of your time for far too long. I look forward to seeing you resume your creativity in the not so distant future. Much love to you both!
B for Biosphere
I used Carole’s polaroid script to frame the photos, all mine, taken in Arizona at the Biosphere. This doesn’t even cover most of what this fascinating project has to offer. A must see if you are ever in the area.
Lynda: Fascinating! Those frames work really well. Would it be possible to post the item on the lower right separately as I can’t make it out here in reduced form?

Glad you like the Biosphere layout. It is a fascinating place. Definitely worth the time. I believe you want to see the sign in the right bottom corner, so here it is. 🙂 The photo above the sign is a representation of growing food without soil. It has three containers that step down and one of the steps is water with fish in it. The fish fertilize the crops. I have been thinking of trying this myself.
