On the Saskatchewan Prairies, there aren’t many mornings or evenings where the sky isn’t on fire. Further more all I have do is wrap up warm, and walk out the door to take shots.
Here’s another one I made, quick and easy to create, yet unique.

Another sunset scene, using my triple frame effect. Background paper created using the bokeh effect and a slight texture. The beads I created for another project, which I coloured to match this project.
I don’t know why the background paper has changed, everything else is as it should be. It’s as it should be on the Facebook page. Mind you it has happened before, unless it has something to do with the texture.

Thank you ever so much Dawn and Michele. Your kind comments always mean a great deal to me. Dawn, I do make all my own greeting cards, and calendars. Here are a few which I don’t think I’ve posted here in the forum, but on Facebook.
Michele, this isn’t a criticism of your work, but had you centred the frames, you wouldn’t have had the steps on the horizon, instead the horizon would be completely horizontal. Still an awesome photo you took and layout. I love the way did the text.

Hello Sue, thanks so much for showing your cards… they are wonderful ! … love how you have used the corner punches on the the dove and robin cards. I have a love for those punches and find myself using them quite often on the cards I make. love the scattered floating feathers on the dove card … all beautifully done !… i am so impressed with your triple frame effect i think i will have to give that a try for my cards… if that is ok with you… thanks again for sharing the idea.

By all means use the technique for your cards Dawn. I gave the instructions for all to use. This is a card I made quite some time ago, I may even have posted it on Facebook. The perspective technique is the same, with the exception of the way I did the borders, I used the buttonize tool, in the effects, 3D effects. Even if I say so myself, the card looked very 3D when printed.

Sue, I did center them, but I guess something went wrong. That’s one of the reasons I kept starting over from scratch. Maybe I scaled them incorrectly? Whatever it is, I’ll keep trying.
I love all of your work, as you already know. I think I’ve seen most of what you just posted except for that last one. It absolutely looks 3-D; an exceptional job.
You know, I can use all the techniques I learn, but I just don’t have the creativity to come up with many original ideas. I’ve always been more of a “mimic” in all things creative e.g. music, art, dance. I’m not complaining; just explaining. I always enjoy what I can do.
Dawn, since I know you’re not on Facebook, I’ll share a screenshot of the triple frame directions that Sue posted. If the screenshot is not clear enough, please let me know and I’ll email the instructions to you.
Just to help with legibility, I am copying here, the instructions from the Facebook post:
Here are the instructions for creating the triple framed project. If there’s something I haven’t explained properly let me know and I’ll try to elaborate. Choose a photo, Selection, select all. Selections, modify contract to personal choice. It will all depend on the size of your project. This applies to all settings.
Selections, invert. 3D effects, inner bevel. Bevel 7. In the tool bar on the left side choose the emboss brush. Hardness 50, size bigger than frame, everything else 100. Play with the blend mode, I like to use luminance on some projects. Using the alt key, click on the edge and then click on the opposite edge, until you have gone a round the frame. Select none. Paste as a new layer, increase canvas size. Duplicate framed photo, resize 75%, all layers unchecked.
Duplicate again if you want a triple frame.
It’s important that everything is aligned centre. Using the pick tool, set to perspective, adjust each framed photo. Remembering to align centre afterwards.
Finally use a drop shadow. Some photos are better suited for this type of framing. Wild Dartmoor ponies on Dartmoor, UK. A Xmas card I made last year for family living in Cornwall. I’m sure I posted it last year on here.Starting to work on 2020 calendar. This photo was taken at sunset, so thought it appropriate to add it to the sunset challenge. My resident coyotes. I have 2 packs that have dens in the horses field. A few years ago I stuck my head down one of the dens to listen for the pups, to my surprise I literally came nose to nose with the mother, who instantly retreated deep into the den. Our eyes met briefly, and she had the most beautiful soft kind eyes. By the following morning she had moved her litter. If only she realized that I didn’t pose a threat to her or her family.

Sue, I figured out what the problem was. My horizon was not centered on the pic so centering the copies was not the right thing for me to do in this case. I moved them to line up with the horizon. I think it’s a definite improvement. I should start from scratch, but I’m too tired. Next project 🙂

I too love the flower corner punches, your card is absolutely delightful. I’m pleased you persisted with the frame project, it really does look fabulous!!!
