In November, our monthly theme is VINTAGE.
Let’s play our monthly alphabet game.
Since just about anything old could be vintage, let’s add a photo of a vintage object along with your answer. And to make sure we can do a second run (if needed), include only ONE answer per letter.

A = automobile
Electric butter churn. I actually have one of these…much dirtier…don’t know if it works. It was my uncle’s.

I remember one at my Grandmother’s…no fancy knobs. I have one with tin inserts from the late 1800’s.

Can’t believe it took me so long to think of this! I have one similar to the one in the picture. It stood in the hallway of my parents home and I inherited it.

V = Victrola record player
W = wringer washing machine
X = Xmas ornament
P.S. My mother had one of those wringer washing machines…it was considered quite state of the art at the time.
Y = yo-yo
I played yoyo a lot as a kid. The Duncan yoyo pro would tour our community once a year. Each Saturday morning for a month or so he would be at the local neighborhood Mom and Pop stores and conduct a yoyo contest for the kids. I thought it was wonderful when I won a candy bar! I even taught yoyo in my physical education classes. It’s a great way to teach physics and the kids think they are playing.
