I'm in to mills at the moment, well not really, but I love this picture because of the bright colour it's nice to work with.. :)

 

So I tried scraplifting too :D

I've tried so many colours, but I think you're right. Maybe it's even more overpowering because the text and border are the same colour.

 

My mill version has different colours for text en border I see now and that's much better. Even though the blue on the mill one  is also bright, it looks far better.

 

Well, back to the drawing board! :).

Two august lay outs for the calenders I'm working on :)

 

I will be aligning and size of the text when all months are done and  don't know yet if I will do something with the date boxes.

 

The project with the farm on it, I've taken colors from the photo's, but I'm not sure about the colour of the background, august should be more bright IMO.

Font is Anton Pieck a very famous artist from the Netherlands, who made wonderful paintings of Dutch villages, buildings is an  fairy tale like manor . Museum site
