  1. When I saw your shape Linda it really made me smile It's great I love it.
  2. Day 2 Preset shapes. My first one I used a rectangle and kept on adding nodes until I got the shape I wanted, it took me a while to do. I selected the image and placed a picture inside the shape so that you can see what the Angel of the North is, it is 66ft tall with a wingspan of 177ft. My second preset shape is an ellipse with a fill and a stroke I used three circles for the iris and the pupil and played with some of the effects to give me the finished result, I saved both shapes to assets.
  3. Sorry didn't see your qustion had been answered looks like mine was a long winded way round it.😁
  4. yes it is possible you can click on any of the sizes and tpye in the size you want make sure you have it on pixelas and not mm. move along to colour and you can make it transparent by clicking the box next is the margins knock these off. You can now save the size in presets to use again. I took a screen shot the red area is where your preset is.
  5. @MoniqueN.I don't think it matters too much Monique after all the lessons are all about doing what feels right for you.
  6. My day 1 lesson in affinity photo great fun.
  7. Me too.
  8. Day 7 followed Carole on the first one just added a paper by Jessica Dunn and added a border. I chose the letter F and added begonias to one side, hanging basket from vecteezy and not sure about the background paper.
  9. Day 6 enjoyed using the vector script ,thank you Carole for the free script. the frog was a font (EFON) the diamonds around it were from Janet Kemp digital scrapbooking. The font Unicorn Monogram was used for my Initial I used the rope from Carole and changed the colour, finally the flower with Caroles rope tube I made myself.
  10. Day 5 I was inspired to use this photo that my son sent me on the very day we were asked to do this lesson, he snapped it on his phone while riding his bicyle up to the village hall. The photo used for the text around a circle was from unsplash by Daniel Lincoln.
  11. @Gerry Landreth Beautifully done.
  12. @Susan Ewart I love the shape of your tea cup Susan and a great job on the tea pot.
  13. Day 4 , learning more every day.
  14. Day 3 I found this one easier to do having a shape to draw around and tweak the nodes.
  15. 'What version of PSP are you using? Starting with version 2018, there is a way to get larger nodes. Check this article. Carole everything is as large as I can possibly get it, hopefully things will improve when I get my cataracts removed .
  16. Day 2 vector shapes struggling with seeing the nodes a lot of the time but persevering Made the tea cup with circles and ellipse I know it not great but gave it a go I'm sure I will improve in time.
  17. Not sure where to post this hopefully someone will put it in the right place. Here is the result of my heart and arrow, it took a lot of zooming in and out to connect to the nodes but finally managed it. Gave the white wavey shape a texture and added text to fit to path, flower is from digital scapbooking Maris Lerin. The arrow I just played around with the nodes and filled the shapes with a pattern.
  18. @Cassel Okay thanks I might give that a go
  19. @Cassel Oh I see I wondered how they look so good, I will keep trying to make a flower that I'm happy but it might take some time.
  20. Does anyone know how to go about making flowers like this one by Jessica Dunn? I would really like to learn to make flowers similar to hers to use on any layouts I create. Not sure where I should post this request.
  21. @kasany Lovely work Kasany, good colour combination with your grey frames and love the stamped effect of the swans at the top of your layout.

  24. This layout is one I have been working on in May using Affinity 2.6 the Photo is one I took a couple of years ago while out walking with my sister. The title is one of my most favourite songs by Sting which I thought captured the look of the coloured photo. Font used was Berlin Sans Fb Boots are from Freepik and I think the compass was too not sure about the boot print around the page. I have used drop shadows on almost everything.
  25. @Ann Seeber That is lovely Ann but it's not the one I thought I saw on here. I have finished my layout now so I will put it up on the forum, thanks for your reply.
