  1. I'll be here but haven't decided what travel story to tell this time. Here's a map I started showing all my stops through the years; I may even use it for this class. I may have to "fake it" with photos in some cases as my old ones are boxed in the attic in the envelopes from the pharmacy! ;-)

Edit: Did more work on the map but still don't have a trip planned...

  2. June Weather Song Challenge: I love the Creedence Clearwater Revival and especially this song: "Have You Ever Seen the Rain." I started with screen grabs from the music video on Vemo and I added ripple effects to suggest rain. I had to reserve the lyrics and paste them back in so they were readable and added a black border to each scene. I got the album cover from a Google search and I had the sun clipart. The background is from a previous art media paper I made but I added the Rainy Day script over the top and then added the musical bars.

    Edit: Oops, forgot shadows!

  3. Wow, everyone's work is so inspiring. Annie, that beach belongs here; aren't you hitting winter now? ;-) All I've been fiddling with is a North American map showing where I've touched down over the years but it's not finished yet. Meanwhile...

I'm scurrying around with a wedding coming up tomorrow, Fri June 11 at 6pm (thank goodness that will be over!) My daughter, Laurey, is the Mother of the Bride.  She has dubbed it The Wedding of the Century! My oldest, Debbie, just flew in from California with her son Will, daughter-in-law, Lucy and baby Magic who turned ONE last Friday! Baby Logan's parents are in the wedding party.  I'll be traveling via limo with my youngest, Beth, and her crew tomorrow (but baby Sonya stays home), to the wedding venue up in the woods of North/East Pennsylvania at a resort called Silver Birches. We'll have the ceremony outdoors and the reception is indoors. The zookeeper bride's Puggle-dog, Riley, will be the ring-bearer among other assorted hi-jinx!

Pictures to follow. Meanwhile, here's the Amazon shot of my dress..  :-D

  4. I had fun playing with the script again. Getting the hang of it now. The fonts are Kleymissky, Century Schoolbook, Foglihten and Prida. The background is a red and gold streaked paper from Pixelscrappers latest freebie and I added all the square punches. I'm feeling a little witty... ;-)
  5. Playing with Sue's Word Art challenge. I used cass-overlapped script for the first time. I used a PSP frame on the green layer which just shows as corner tapes. This saying just makes me chuckle. If the goofy fonts are hard to read, it says: "The human body is 90% water. We're basically cucumbers with anxiety." ;-)
  6. Michele: Stunning layout! Love your surfer! Where do you get your art? Your Fab Divas are so eye-catching! I have to ask, what size canvas do you start with? I'm looking to deviate from our standard square 3600x3600 scrap page. It doesn't print well. My desktop doesn't do 12x12. :-)
  7. I finally actually did a Scavenger Hunt. I tried in March and it didn't work out in time. Here's my May version. Diamond paper background. Twill ribbon border in wood duck pattern using cass-mitered-corner-frame script; also cass-bow17 script.  I now have all my frames inside PSP and this one is labeled cass-frame01. The straight pin is holding a journaling strip and metal rings are scattered.
  8. Hi Susanne: Yes, you can change your post and uploaded image if you go back to the original and see if it shows the word "EDIT" on the top right. Click there and you can change/edit your text. You can also click the (X) at the top right of the image and it will be deleted. Then you can upload an edited version if you wish. Good luck!
  9. Following the sketch, this is what I came up with _ Mandala Babies! I got the mandala from NicePNG and I’ve shown Magic’s giraffe totem, Sonja’s elephant and Logan’s bear within it. I got an element showing 3 clouds which I cut apart and made each into a mask for the photos using Cass-Raster-to-Mask script. The font is Birdy. Magic and Sonja will be one in June and Logan will be 4 months at that point. We are all getting together for my granddaughter, Jackie’s, wedding June 11.

Edit:  I reduced the opacity of the mandala and changed the animal totems.

  11. I started playing with Cassel's nested frames; dividing them with promoted layers (thanks, Lynda!). Things got out of hand from there! LOL I twirled the frames around and then applied Cassel's raster-to-mask script to each and then ended up adding a bunch of bird photos I had of a clash between a female cardinal and a pine siskin. Here's the layout I came up with...
  12. Mary: I have that script also. It should be stored in C:Documents/Corel PaintShop Pro/2021(or whatever version you have)/Restricted Scripts. I tried it out and it just seems to put a green haze over a layout or a photo. It was one of the Corel freebies of the week awhile back.
