  1. Everyone here is doing a great job with different types of work and techniques.

Karon, you are really inspiring me to go back to the Lab Tutorials! : ) Nice job.

Julia, cute and colorful page. Nice work.

Annie, you created a beautiful alpha.

Lynda, what wonderful work with the old map.

  2. Lynda, I like very much how you added the shadows to the flag banner. They look great.

Sheila, another lovely layout of your daughter. Well done.

Minka, the photo, colors, the layout all convey peace. Nicely done.

Karon, this is really a lovely layout. I love to see your Lab pages showcasing what you created with the tutorials and the experiments. Great job.

Laurie, I love both of your pages...great color. To answer your question, I think you could go to Adjust>Hue and Saturation>Hue/Saturation/Lightness or Adjust>Hue, and Saturation>Colorize... Maybe Carole and others here have other options.

Annie, as you were not posting anything in the last few days, I was thinking to myself, "What's she up to?" : D ... I knew we were going to see another great work...Beautiful mandala, and I like the bright colors very much.

Bonnie, very nice layout. Did you also create the Word Art?

  3. Ann, this mandala looks great, it has so many details. Good job.

Lynda, you've been busy with the Labs. I haven't done anything lately concerning the Lab tutorials... Hopefully, I'll find my mojo again as soon as some kind of "normal life" comes back. I love the flowers you created.

Michele, beautiful work and colors. I love all of them!

  4. Late, but I have finished something for this challenge.

Basically, I just had to add the photos... I used the template "Messy-Pockets-Captured-4" by Lynn Grieveson (Lilypad); The shadows were also included, and I didn't change them.

The background is from her Newsletter "Welcome Kit," and I just added a layer on top of it with one of the colors suggested... added some texture, and played with the Blend Mode.

  5. Everyone had so much fun last month with the Lab, templates, freebies, pickleball, babies, mandalas, and so many more lovely and creative layouts; it is hard to keep pace with all of you! : )  I haven't been creating much stuff, but it is always a joy to come here and be inspired by all of you.

Great work, Val, Annie, Ann, Karon, Minka, Mary, Bonnie, Michele, Lynda,  and Anne!

  6. Thank you, Sue. : ) We did talk about the linoleum pattern, and I love the effect of it. As we talked about before, I am not a pattern paper person, but I love to see what others do with it. Some people mix different patterned papers and get great results... I agree with you that there is still so much more to learn here. Take care, my friend. <3
  7. No, Carole, I didn't colorize the butterfly. I created two linoleum patterns: blue and orange. The orange one was added to the blue layer as a smoke texture... I also played with the angle. I will add the tile so you can see what I mean.

I've learned how to move a group mask layer... I don't remember you ever showing this before. Cool tip.

No matter how long I have worked with the program, I know there are zillions of techniques more, which I don't know. That's why I am here, to learn from you and others that share their knowledge. : )

  8. I finally managed to finish layout Day 7.

Thanks, Carole, for the challenge; I not only had the opportunity to practice creating masks, but I also learned new things.

  9. Here is my Day 6.

I love the linoleum technique; it creates unique patterns depending on the starting color, as we can see here.

The "linoleum" butterfly was created with a brush.

  10. And here is my Day 5.

In this photo, we were sitting in front of a very nice old tower, and usually, we would be able to go to the top and have a nice view of the city... But since last year, this is not allowed anymore because it is impossible to keep social distance going up... Also, it is being renovated, and now the tower is surrounded by scaffolding... So, using the mask was perfect for hiding it.

Mary Solaas said she likes to add the date on something... so I decided to do the same and added the date on the cup... I have a special pen for that  ; )

  11. Carole, I did use a corner punches brush. The set is called Ornamental Butterflies-2 by mohaafterdark.deviantart.com. They don't have a good quality, but as I lowered the opacity a lot, it didn't matter. The butterflies I used for Day 3 are from the same set. I really had to look for it as my brush folders are NOT very well organized. : )
