  1. After winning the recent Cassel Vine Tubes I was inspired to play with them using the Vector tube script. For the layout I selected one of the extra templates from the Template workshop in April. The image is from The Spruce about beautiful garden pathways. I added a garden gate image from my files. The papers are from Digital Scrapbooking (Jessica Dunn). Thank you Carole for the helpful tips on how to use the vector tubes script with the vine tubes. I used the pen tool to create a path on the gate and ran the script twice, once with green leaves and then pink. I also ran the script on the letter V in the title for which I chose a plain font to work better with the vine. Added a few more vines and used Cassel’s Custom Confetti script on the red leaves so I could scatter them around. I had a lot of fun with this project.
  2. Princess Natasha is enjoying the Opera “AIDA” with me as it is streaming from the Metropolitan Opera. Natasha loves the Egyptian stage set. Actually, all my fur-kids seem to enjoy Grand Opera and they show up to listen. I think they may even have their favorite composer. =^!!^=
  3. Here is my Day 7 Template project. I used the papers from Marisa Lerin's kit offered with the lesson. I decided to go with garden flowers and used elements and ribbons from  Jessica Dunn, Janet Kemp, Sheila Reid, Marisa Lerin and Melo Vrijhof at Digital Scrapbooking. I used the Hue and Saturation tool on the red background and on one of the ribbons and the Hue map on the watering can. I did not have a wood panel pattern, so I looked for  wood panel colors on line and used one of  them to make a background graphic I could use with the pattern option in PSP for the text. Thank you Carole for these workshops. I have learned so much about PaintShop Pro and I enjoy every one of the classes and the workshops.
  4. Templates - Day 6: I used some of the papers and elements from the Janet Scott  Mini-Kit Elegant Autum. One of the photographs is mine showing our Bella. She loves to jump up to the bookcase looking for a good "Read" preferably one about cats. The other one I found on Canva under Library images. The font is Shenandoah Clarendon Bold which is a bit like the Clarendon Blk Carole used. I could not resist to add a bookworm from my graphics file. I added Hue and Saturation to it for better blending. Currently, I am in a book club called "Bookworms" so this lesson was just perfect. Thank you Carole for another great Workshop during which I  enjoyed learning many new PSP skills and shortcuts. I will be working on my final Day-7 tomorrow.
  5. Template - Day 5.

This took me a while but it was a lot of fun and so many new things to learn. I looked at the small Photo boxes then I had an idea. Some time ago, I had download some cat faces  from Melisa Riddle at Digital Scrapbooking and I decided to place them on some of the background papers from Marissa Lerin's kit. The hardest part is always finding pictures for a project. The yellow RicRac is from Janet Scott at Digital Scrapbooking. The gold paw-print on one of the flowers is one of my graphics. Font is Carolina Script.

  6. Regarding Vector layers: I just figured it out and found it has always done that. When I added a vector layer it puts the small arrow on the left side of the layer palette just like with a group. I just never paid attention to it and now with closing groups and merging groups  I started to notice the little arrows. I could have saved myself a lot of time if I had thought about it and looked at my earlier projects. Guess I was just getting very tired and it looked odd to me. Will get a fresh start tomorrow with Templates Day 5. Everyone's projects here look very beautiful.
  7. Here is my Template Day-4:I had a lot of trouble with the the text tool and  finally finished it. It seems that all of a sudden my PSP started acting up and whenever I started to write the text as a vector it turned it into a group and placed a text layer underneath the vector layer. Even when I just added a vector layer it formed a group. I worked around it and hope someone will have a suggestion for that. I used the background paper from the tutorial (Rachel Martin) and used Hue and Saturation to blend well with my pictures. I took those many years ago when I visited my cousins in Germany and we went for a drive to the beautiful Lake Constance in the city of Lindau. Lake Constance (known as Bodensee in German) is a 63km-long central European lake that borders Germany, Austria and Switzerland and it is fed by the Rhine River. It is composed of 2 connected parts, the Untersee (lower lake) and the larger Obersee (upper lake). Ringed by resort towns, it's a summer destination for sailing, windsurfing and swimming. The Bodensee-Radweg cycle path encircles the entire lake in about 260km.

  8. Here is my Template for Day 3. I love both scripts, one can save so much time by using them. I had bought the ClipIt script and downloaded the free open as Layer scripts a while ago and today with your helpful video tutorial I used them both and placed a star for the Open As Layer script in my toolbar.  The ClipIt will go there also. Thank you Carole for showing us how easy it is to use them. The photograph shows some of the deer that visit our backyard, because they know I always have a treat for them. The Font is Segoe UI Semibold. I also played with the blending modes and that was fun too.
  9. Here is my project for Templates  Day 2. I used Jessica Dunn's mini-kit from the lesson and changed some of the colors a bit to blend with my photos. I love using the white outline, it makes the text pop. I also found it quite helpful to merge the group which saved a lot of time with the drop shadows. Thank you Carol for another great lesson.
  10. Here is my Bonus Template for Day 1. The storms have left Central Texas and I am happy to be able to continue with the templates. The Paris picture is from PinInterest. 2 of the papers  (Flowered and striped) are from Digital Scrapbooking and the pink and grey paper I made by selecting colors on the picture. Font is Fiolex Girls, and I added inner bevel and drop shadows to all. Tried to use a different color on the texture bubbles, but ended up keeping the white. This was a lot of fun and I learned  a much easier way to fit  papers and pictures to a shape. Thank you Carole!
  11. Mask Workshop Day 7: Just finished Day 7. I had a lot of fun learning all about using Masks, and creating my own masks and background papers. I will need to keep practicing so that I will not forget all the steps. Thank you Carole for this awesome workshop!
  12. Masks Workshop-Day 6. For this lesson I used one of my hometown's pictures showing City Hall and the Cathedral. A good friend had painted the picture for me years ago  and I took a photograph of it to use for this project. I used the macbad watercolor brush and then Cassel' s swirl brush. For the background I selected the monochrome version. The Font is Vivaldi. Thank you Carole! I liked the tip of adding a blur at the end which I did.  I did not try the soft light blend mode. Will play with that another time.
  13. Mask Workshop-Day 5. I used a picture of our Siegfried as he was posing in front of his little playhouse, that he has outgrown. You can see parts of the red roof through the mask. For the brushes I used DC Heart brushes around Siegfried and then used some of them at the bottom next to the Chadiluna Font from Creative Fabrica. I added inner bevel and  and a light shadow to the text. The background paper is from Digital Scrapbooking. This project was a lot of fun.
  14. Mask Workshop - Day 4- I am having a hard time with the masks, but I plan to" master the masks"  with lots of practice. I had fun however with the brush (mcbad watercolor 017) and added 2 small brushstrokes to the text. Font is:Carolina Script. The balloon graphic is from Art Explosion and I was trying to work the brush so the balloon picture would end up like a circle. Then I made a plaid background from what I learned in week 2 and turned up the opacity a bit more on the background.
  15. Masks Workshop Day 3: I took me a while for this one. The Mask did not turn out the way I wanted, but I finally finished it. I kept getting some small transparent areas that showed up and they were still visible after I added the background. Resizing did not help so I kept playing with it til I got tired. Any ideas where those came from? I checked all my steps and positions of the layers, and redid the steps a few times. I probably hit a wrong key at some time. By the way, do you remember the movie,  Planes, Trains and Automobiles? Well, I covered 3 of them so far . Trains, Planes and the automobile (a.k.a. Cat Mobile) The pattern is from the leopard picture, part of my Jeep, trees in our backyard,  and the light color is from  from the driveway. Font I used is Biondi which I have in my Windows Fonts. The paw-prints I have had for years, I add different colors to them as needed.  TheLeopard, well he just popped up in my graphics folder years ago and he id a keeper.
  16. Mask Workshop Day 2; Continuing with the Theme of Transportation, I selected Air Travel for this project.. Graphics are from Art Explosion, and Creative Fabrica,  Flying  Ace Mr. Mooch has graciously volunteered to pilot the Zeppelin. The Font is a simple one called Bahnschrift Light. Thank you Carole for pointing out that by enlarging the photo the Mask will look better. I noticed that when I played with today's project. I will re-do the other one using that very helpful tip.
  17. Masks Workshop Day 1. I will be using the theme Transportation throughout this workshop.Day 1 will be about trains. I used the Georgia Font that came with my Windows Fonts.  Graphics are from Creative Fabrica and Art Explosion. I find masks not to be as easy as I thought. One really has to be sure where all those layers have to be placed. But in time, I know I will feel more comfortable with using masks. I like the effect one can get with them.
