  1. Q = Questions, my dad was always questioning me about what I had been doing during the day! Sometimes that could be annoying, especially when I was a teenager ?
  2. O = Opa, that's Dutch for Grandpa and we also honor them to on father's day too
  3. No I didn't do all of that, because I was there only for a day but I saw most of it any way My daughter doesn't live in the city, so we went there, it's about an hour by car but the traffic was very bad and it took us almost 2 hours to get to the Golden Gate bridge! Ater that, it happened to be mothers day, we had a crab lunch at Fishermans Wharf and we looked at all the activities there and then took a ride down Lombard street, the car just fitted and could do the serpentine road! Saw the cable cars and the painted ladies. Btw your tomato looks great!
  4. Thank you ladies! Suzy of course there will be a date but not on every layout. I think I'll put the dates of my trip on the cover and/or first of the intro pages. Besides making my photobook I plan to use o lot of my photos in coming projects as well and the nice script of this week with the hanging photos is a candidate for some of my flower photos. But first my book!
  5. Hi, I'm back from my journey to visit my daughter & co and have been reading all the comments in the different sections of the Campus for over an hour now, you all have been busy! I had a massive jetlag and although I attended the masterclass this Sunday I definitively have to rewatch it, nothing registered with me. I have had a great time and am starting to make a photobook as I did before. I'm going to make a scrapbook page as introduction to the different topics of the book. After each intro page comes the "normal" pages with all my photos and stories. I don't do all the pages as a scrapbook page, that would take me months to do and family and friends over here are waiting to see my book with all the photos! I'll show the different intro pages as I finish them in this section of the Campus; they are still in random order because for some I need to do an internet search. This time they are rectangles because my book will be a rectangle and this way they cover a whole page, which I regret not doing last year.
  6. G = Generous
  7. E = Energetic is a word that suited my father.
  8. H = Happy, that's what we want to make our mothers!
  9. I will follow your suggestion! I wanted to quickly make something for this challenge and it can be used on a later layout, so I was in a bit of a hurry ? Thanks for the good wishes and I'm like you, I always make notes and put things aside for a next trip.
  10. Wednesday I'm leaving for 3 weeks to the USA to visit my daughter, son in law and the grandkids. I'm going for the first time to the Bay area of San Francisco where they are living now. We will certainly visit the city and see the Golden Gate bridge. My journey will give me great photo opportunities, at least I hope so, which will result in new layouts. Also we are going for a long weekend to see the Grand Canyon, I'm very exited! In preparation I made this tag in the State colors of California with a illustration of the bridge found on cleanping. It has place to put a date and then it will go on a layout. The coming weeks I won't be scrapping but once a while I will come here in the campus and on facebook to see what everybody is doing. See you all in June!!!
  11. Sue I have seen more of your photos and layouts about this adorable voles and I like them all, but every new layout you do, makes me love them more. I have said it before but the nature where you live is stunning!
  12. E = Everlasting love for the children
  13. C = Chocolate hearts, that is what you can often see when searching for a gift.
  14. R = (Red) Roses
  15. My idea too!!! And if I delete something I always think at a later moment: oh no.....
  16. J = Joy
  17. Thank you Susan, the wire flower came from my stash and I think it was by Marissa Lerin, but I have it for a very long time now and never used it (like many other things I gathered).
  18. E = Educate the children, at least that's what all moms are trying to do!
  19. At first I couldn't come up with an idea what to make. I don't like to fold my photos in real life so why would I do that digitally! In the end I folded the background paper with a small fold and made a folded ribbon with a button, then a cluster with 2 other buttons and the frames. At first I wanted to have some text too but in the end I didn't like it, so no text. The last Q&A session had among others a question about how to make a string to tie a button and that's what I practiced here with the buttons. Now I have a template for strings when I need them, very nice. Of course the photo is mine and it is of a field full with dandelions which I saw last week on a walk. I already have lots of photos of all the pretty spring flowers and blossoming trees in my neighborhood and used those in many layouts, therefore now something else. Enjoy!
  20. Cristina good to hear that you are on your way back and I think all of us have encountered those dreadful moments or months when you can't make anything decent how hard you may try. Take your time!!!
  21. The same goes for me!!!
  22. Thank you, it surprised me too? I will certainly download some 3D files again.
  23. By mistake I had downloaded a 3D flower mandela with 6 layers, colored and in png format. I had now clue what to do with it but decided to "assemble" the flower to give it a try before deleting it. The normal shadows didn't give a good result so I tried shadows without an offset and a blur and opacity from 100% on the backlayer to 40% on the toplayer and the little heart has a slight bevel to let it stand out a bit better. I choose a frame from the frames inside PSP and used the Flora Garden font with different colors. At least I had fun making it!
  24. Monique indeed it is Dutch through and through, much more isn't possible! Nice topic for this workshop.
  25. Rene I did bind it to my toolbar too, it's so convenient that way!
