  1. Hi, Carole and friends!

Yes I went back to Sammy and Charlie this morning and added shadows, changed the font of the date.  I really had trouble getting that rectangle to go horizontal! played with giving shadow to the text but that didn't look right.  I had to keep your tutorial up and refer back to it frequently both yesterday and today.  I am playing around with where to put the projects and where to put scrapbooking tools.  I decided to make new folders under Corel Paint Shop Pro main heading since I have several copies of PSP as I almost always get the upgrade in Ultimate.  You had mentioned in one of your pdf books that PSP 7 or 8 is better at getting an old colored photo which is faded with time to "smarten up" and look like new.  For some reason I had a problem with finding drop shadow until I went over your tutorial this morning.  Love how you teach.

  2. OK - I did learn more this time, although I had to keep the tutorial up and go over the transfer part more than once.  However, I did better than the last bootcamp as I added a tablecloth this time.  Couldn't figure out how to do a napkin so I left that off.  I did remember how to turn the handle of the cup to the right which is what I did last time.  I had a problem with the tablecloth, but did manage it at the last.  Whew!!  So here is my result.
  3. Trying again.  For some reason I have trouble really understanding layers even though in Video Studio I understand Overlays which are like layers in PSP.  I have several pictures that I will use and I was attempting to do one on 3/29/20 a spring day in Memphis, TN with 3 or 4 snaps of the beautiful flowers that were blooming that day.  And then there is a picture of 2 of my great grandchildren that was so cute.  I did do a scrapbook page of them sometime in the past 2 years and I believe it was after my last bootcamp.  It turned out pretty good.  Maybe I will use it and do something different with them this time.
  4. Hi, I use PSP to work on photos before bringing them in to Visual Studio.  This is one sample I used in preparing a video for my daughter-in-law's 50th birthday.  It is the opening to a play we did.  I used a photo of a castle and changed the color picture to a spooky black & white.  I cut out a little red dragon from a picture of dragons we had used to decorate the house. The red dragon comes in from the top and moves across the castle to exit the video at the left middle.  I will upload a pic from the video since the website doesn't accept movies.
  5. I am brand new to this blog.  I am not sure if this is where I say Hi - although this is Day 3, I am just on Day 1.  I have used PSP before so my set up is the default one.  I have not changed my preferences, but I may change to medium or light grey background.
