AprilDawn Posted August 2, 2019 Posted August 2, 2019 hello Everyone! .. haven't been participating for awhile due to health issues but hopefully i can get going again...just recently I upgraded from PSP2018 to PSP2019 as i was having a few hiccups with 2018 and it was becoming a bit annoying.. i have been playing with the PicToPainting plugin in 2019 and have found it to be quite interesting. Below is a card with the result of adding the Soft Pastels effect to a flower i painted some years ago. ... also used Cassels corner punch and another oval frame topper punch element i have in my collection. Dawn. 1
Cristina Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Hi Dawn! I am so happy to see you here. :) Your card is beautiful, and I always love the way you add corner punches to cards. It looks great! Best wishes to you, my friend. <3 1
Cristina Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 A little bit late, but here is the layout I made to practice the tutorials from the Lab9-Module 07 (Abstract and Ruled paper). I tried to include the Hand Drawn Alpha but the result was not pleasing me in this page. I will add it to another LO. I used Cassel's Date Stamp5 script. Font: Romantic 1
trish williams Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Love that layout Dawn, Christina you have a budding artist there. I posted these last night but they seem to have disappeared today, so excuse the repeat 1
trish williams Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 and that reminded me of a picture of a poker I had taken 1
trish williams Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Today I have been trying again with this Perspective, before and after, and now I have a nice stain glass window to play with 1
AprilDawn Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 hello Cristina and thank you so much for your kind comment and greeting... always appreciated.... your page is wonderful. I love the way you have done the painting on the easel and the photos of the little girl painting are a joy to view as I love to see children involved with art and other crafts ... you chose a great title.... look forward to seeing your hand drawn alpha in a future layout. best of wishes are sent your way, Dawn. 1
AprilDawn Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 Trish you certainly have been busy doing projects and with great results .. I like your Teardrop mask it created a very nice effect on your image.. masks are a great addition to projects aren't they. .. I am glad you like my layout ... Thank you. best wishes, Dawn. 1
Cristina Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Dawn, thank you so much! You are always very kind. <3 ... For the painting on the easel, I used the technique that Carole taught us last month, "Painting on the Wall" post... And the little girl is Olivia. :) Trish, I sure do! :D ... Your work is lovely and so diversified. I love the masks! 1
Cristina Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 Here is the layout I made to practice the tutorials from the Lab9-Module 08 (Halftone Brush-Outlined Text-Fancy Wheel). Also, I used the template given. The staple element is by APennington. From Cassel: Plaid4 paper (Creative Scrap>Paper Pattern>Plaid4) / Bow (Bow9 script) / Date Stamp5 script 1
AprilDawn Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 hello Cristina ! ... love the way you did the photos of Olivia and you did a great job with the tutorials ... Best wishes, Dawn. 1
Annie Tobin Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Wow! Beautiful results for these Dawn. I haven't tried the pic to painting yet but you have inspired me to give it a go! Well done my friend. <3 1
Annie Tobin Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Great job on both projects Cristina, well done my friend, a pleasure to view. <3 1
Annie Tobin Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Wow Trish, you have been busy with your projects, well done my friend. <3 1
Annie Tobin Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 I played around some after the webinar this morning and these are my results. It was a great webinar and, as usual, I learned some new things! My favourite is the one at the top, just love the subtle changes using the mask plus black and white gradient. All photos are from Unsplash. Thanks for takin a peek. 1
AprilDawn Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Thank you Annie, the plugin does create some nice effects. ... you have achieved lovely results from the webinar and you chose great photos. I must say the top one would be my favourite also... hope you have some fun playing with the pic to painting plugin. best wishes, Dawn. 1
Cristina Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Annie, thank you! <3 I agree it was a great webinar, so many interesting techniques to add to a photo. My favorite is also the first one, although the second and third because of the sunrise/sunset photos have a more dramatic effect. Great job! 1
Annie Tobin Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Cristina, thank you my friend, much appreciated. I had another play with psp today this time using the pic to painting plugin. The hibiscus flower top left is the original. I used all of the painting options for this project with maximum strength setting for the full effect. It is a fun plugin. Thanks for takin a peek. 1
libera Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hello Annie, is this a plugin in PSP version 2019? Looks great and the realisation of the webinar too. Trish (beautiful repetitions are always welcome, don't need to excuse), April, Cristina, endless creativity!!!! 1
libera Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Hello everybody, I saw a video on the blog, under tips and tricks, how to create a silhouette and just played with it. A simple and quick work. Afterwards I discovered how to add text to a silhouette, that will certainly be the next work. 1
Annie Tobin Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Thanks Libera, very much appreciated. The PicToPainting plugin was provided free via an email from Cassel for Corel. I use psp 32 and 64 bit 2019 ultimate and the plugin works in both ... it is very easy to use and depending on the pic you use some spectacular results can be attained. <3 1
