We want to know who else will be there, on our side to cheer everyone up. Everyone started as a beginner, so don't ever compare yourself to others. You will learn one tool at the time, one concept at the time and you will create one project at the time. Everyone will have different photos and possibly different supplies so every project will be different. Once the Bootcamp is started, on July 22nd, you can post your pages in here. Remember to resize your image to about 600 pixels before uploading it so it won't slow down the site when we have lots of your masterpieces. Try to follow the tutorials at least enough that we can recognize what lesson you completed. Now, let's get ready ! If you missed the registration link or if you found this thread before I announce it (some people are very observant), HERE it is. Share it around if you want. Although this bootcamp is mostly meant to help beginners, we won't exclude anyone for "excess experience". Some participants are back for a second round. You are always welcome. Remember that it will be the exact same tutorials so don't be surprised. I am sure you will now do something slightly different than the previous time. This is the only "lesson" that might differ if you have a different version, but you can still follow all the other tutorials with any version. I have used PSP for 13 years, so I have "excess experience" in that area, but I am a total newbie at scrapbooking. I use a light grey workspace with a white background, although I change the background if I am working on a very light colored image. I prefer to keep my layers and materials palette on the left side of the workspace, just to the right of my toolbar. We all have our quirks! I'm looking forward to learning about scrapbooking. BUt that depends what project I am working on. I used PaintShop Pro years ago, when it was Jasc. At some point I began using Photoshop Elements. But now I want to learn how to fully use PSP! My timeline is perhaps different to most so it is already the next day when my posts come in. Have been using Psp for many years (my favorite is PSP 9) but have now decided to find out about 19. My user interface is light grey & my materials & layer palettes are docked on the right. How many tools should be shown on the tools palette or does it depend on the size of your monitor? If you have a large monitor, you will see more. If you use a smaller monitor (or a lower resolution)and larger icons, you might see a little arrow at the bottom of the tools to scroll for the ones not showing. Only use organization when dealing with large numbers of pictures in a group. I use tabbed pictures. My resolution is 300 dpi. Have been using PSP for years and love Cassel's instructions. Am a Diamond member for several years now. Working in this bootcamp because I ALWAYS learn something new when following Cassel.
