Cassel Posted May 21 Posted May 21 When I was young, graduations were only for high school and college/university. When my kids were growing up, they had added grade 8 graduations, mostly because they were changing school. Now, we have daycare graduations too. What are the typical "graduation" events in your part of the world?
Michele Posted May 21 Posted May 21 My daughter's daycare/nursery school also had a kindergarten. At the end of kindergarten, at which point they were leaving the school, there was a graduation ceremony. I remember they sang The Rainbow Connection from the Muppets. She sang it non-stop for weeks. 😁 1 1 1
Gerry Landreth Posted May 21 Posted May 21 In Miami, anything was an excuse for a party to mark every milestone. The Latin culture is known for its all-out celebrations. A party for graduating from day care would involve 30-40 people, including abuelos, tios, and cousins you didn't know you had. It would be an all-day affair with a seemingly endless amount of food and drink, and everyone would be dressed in their finest outfits. It was a pretty amazing experience for a boy from Alabama who grew up with small birthday parties at the park. 1 1
