Cassel Posted January 4 Posted January 4 Let's make things a little fun for you. Are you looking for ways to spark your creativity and still create something meaningful? This will be a fairly regular challenge for you. Every time, you will be given instructions to use 1, 2, and 3 of something. Would that be more than you usually use? or less? Let's see. Create a layout using : 1 decorative brad 2 patterned ribbons 3 stapled elements You can create those elements or use what you currently have in your stash. Showcase any photo, use any template (if you want). Just make sure you include the required elements. 1
Corrie Kinkel Posted January 7 Posted January 7 I still am looking through my photo album to find something that I want to use for my first 6 years, therefore I decided to give this challenge a go and I came up with this layout. I used a photo from a tree which I pass by on one of my walks. The tree was damaged and overgrown with mosses. The people who are doing maintenance on public greenery were about to take it down and I could just snap this photo. The tree had no more leaves and a couple of branches had fallen down due to windy conditions, so it became a danger. I used cass-SimplyArtsyTemplate as a starting point but put the frame layer behind the mask layer. The background is one of my artsy ones but with a blendmode. The brad is from my stash (by Marisa Lerin) and I used it as the letter O in the title and that font is The Piraglen. Both the ribbons are done by me but I changed their colors and used one with cass-FoldedRibbon script and the other with cass-Knot script. Then I made a simple label for my text (Ariel). The staples are used on that label, on a preset shape arrow and on preset shape leaves which I made during the vector workshop. 2

Your paper works so well with that template (which is very nice by the way). It's very cool to see so many different mosses on the tree in on spot.

Susan thank you, I was amazed by so much different mosses just on a single tree along a footpath were I frequently take a walk. 1
