Here is the next Word challenge for you.

In August the word will be BACK. It can be used in many ways, whether it will be about someone's back tattoo, back to school, or someone coming back from a trip or a stay abroad.

Are you up to the challenge? Post your projects in this thread (it can be older projects you did or recent ones; it does not matter) or, if you want, our PSP Scrapbook Showcase pinboard on Pinterest is always there to showcase what is being shared in the Campus (if you need an invite, let me know)

Let's start this off. I chose to use the theme of "You Can't Go Back" after thinking about our holiday to England in 2002. We took the opportunity to go back to various places that we hadn't seen since we left in 1971 - my old house, Russell's old house, where he used to work, the church we were married in and the farm where we spent our honeymoon. Although his house and the church were unchanged, my mother's rose garden had been paved over to park the car and the shipyard where Russell had done his apprenticeship was a fairly new housing estate! As the page says the farm was a big disappointment, and just served to reinforce that fact that sometimes it is better to just remember how it was rather than looking at how it is now.

Marlene, great page and the use of the word Back. It really translated the feeling of the disappointment you had to see how things have changed.

It is so true what you wrote that sometimes it is better to just remember how it was... Nice page!

Marlene, you chose a great way to use the word Back for this challenge and it is so true.  My husband Don and I have also found sometimes it is better to just hold on to the memories.  A very nice page Marlene, you always do such nice work in telling us some of your stories to go with the photos. Thanks for sharing.

This is my contribution to this challenge. I used the Focal Point Template1 (4) from Scrapping with Liz as a base for my page.

For the word BACK I used cass-PlaydoughAlpha freebie and for the date/place stamp, I used cass-DateStamp5 script.

The background pattern is from KAagard-GreatOutdoors Kit.

The brackets came with the template and I flooded fill with white > Effects > Texture Effects > Sculpture > rusty texture that I got free online.

The text says: "The Kühkopf Nature Reserve is our favorite place to ride bicycles along paths and through the forest until the river banks of the Rhine River." The font for the text and part of the title is Dancing Script.

Very nice Cristina, looks like a place you can return to many times. I like the way you've used a photo in the background, it looks really good but still gives room for the journaling and other photos without hiding the important parts of the photo. The bright colours also make an interesting contrast to my page - I chose the quiet colours to reflect the disappointment we felt, whereas your bright colours truly reflect the happiness you are showcasing. I wonder how many other ways to use the word "Back" we will see?

Cristina you have done a lovely page . Your Happy to go Back title is great for this word challenge  and they way you have done Back in the PlayDough  Alpha is very effective and cheerful. The template you have used for your layout is a good one, it displays all your photos nicely.  Thanks for sharing.

Marlene and Dawn, thank you so much for taking the time to comment on my page. I appreciate very much.

I saw online sometime ago pages using this Focal Point Templates, don't remember where maybe Pinterest, and I liked very much this kind of page where a large photo is the main subject. So, when they were on sale I had to get it. :) And I love this Play Dough Alpha and have used it a few times in some challenges here. I also have the script. ;)

I have struggled a bit with ideas for this challenge and I haven't been well, so, I think my brain took some time out. However in the end this is what I have ended up with.... Memories of a Happy Time. The photo of the Dancers is from Pixabay and I blended into the background with multiply  and then used eraser tool to softly blend the edges more . The record and skates were created using purchased PSD files from Joannes Digital Design.  Extra music notes were done with Cassel's music tube.

Dawn, you might have struggled but you came up with a really lovely page. Everything blends so well together. I love the elements, the color of the title and especially the journaling. Great memories and great work. Thanks for sharing.

I hope you get well soon!

That is a great page Dawn even if you were sick. I was born in 1949 and remember that music very well, so the page evoked really good memories for me. Having the record as the focal point really draws the eye in and the silhouettes work really well. Well done and feel better soon.
