Brian Dowling Posted August 31, 2022 Posted August 31, 2022 This website illustration features the 'Brushed Metal 1' script. In this particular case I made an admission ticket and replaced the script's output with something akin to Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka text for fun. I made it in black on white then merged the layers and ran it through the Brushed Metal 1 script choosing 1. Gold. It was nice enough but I wanted more contrast so I pasted the black and white version back on top of the gold and 'multiplied' the layer to remove the white and darken the text for readability. I then added it to my website size template and distorted the perspective so the right hand side was above the frame. On the background I added a bar of chocolate (to add to the Willy Wonka look) made for another graphic. Underneath that was a Chevron paper pattern distorted to recede a little into the distance. I added Cass flares over the ticket for added sparkle. As an experiment I added Gaussian blur to the background to help the ticket pop some more. Additional scripts used: Admission Ticket #1, Chocolate, Chevrons 3; 1
Susan Ewart Posted September 1, 2022 Posted September 1, 2022 Brian that is simply brilliant! no pun intended. It's very realistic and has so much detail. 1
