I have that same problem! There is so much craft stuff here that I'll probably never use again, but you never know!
-
I signed up for the workshop, it's sounds great! Will be using Affinity.
-
Mine are old but they still work. They are all expensive now!

Monique, if by cutting out the circle, you mean you just want the green in the circle only, it's just like putting the photo's into the templates for scrapbooking. Drag your the layer with your green background on top on the circle layer and it should pop it in.

I have the Nik collection and a couple from Topaz in Photo. I am pretty sure that FilterForge also works. I don't have AlienSkin so I can't answer that.
-
Carole, the leaves are more like a vine so they are longer. It was made from a tutorial and it is a vector image brush.
-
Gwen, I love your flower! It's beautiful! (purple is my favorite color)

Day 7, this has been fun. Everyone has done amazing things this week! This one was also all done in Designer. The owl and flower are mine.

Carole, converting some of the Picture tubes would be a great idea! I do agree with you that I wish the brushes all worked the same way. It can be confusing! I do like being able to create brushes and tweak ones that are already there.

Day 6. I started using Affinity Designer before I used Photo because I wanted to do vectors. That being said, and this is just my choice, I did all of this in Designer. The chain brush is one I made a few years ago and the rose is all vector that I drew. Thank You Carole for the brushes! You can never have too many brushes!!

If you have more than 1 layer, like the toes, when you are done, highlight all the layers for the dinosaur and group them. Then put the group in your assets and it will all be together. You will still be able to change colors, etc when you want to use it again. I hope that makes sense. I also love that you found the cat shape!!

Day 3, I outlined the maple leaf, saved as an asset and here it is. Also, I added a picture of a beautiful maple tree from fall a few years back.

I just started playing with several of the preset shapes and this just happened. The hat and nose are rectangles, the flowers are the stars, the top things are the spirals, mouth is a crescent and the rest circles.

Hi Jeni! When I open the template and just do file save as, it does not have the extras in it.
-
Sue, if you saved your file in Aphoto, you should be able to open it back up and export it again as a PSD. When we do the templates, I have one copy saved as AFphoto so I can go back and make changes. Then I export one copy as a jpeg at 3600 x3600 and then export a copy as a jpeg at 600 x 600 to post to the group. It's a very quick process.
-
I always just open the template and do File/Save As and save to whatever folder I will want it in. That way the template stays as it is and I have my AF file. I save quite often during the process because it is way to frustrating to do a lot of work and then lose it because it is not saved. But that is just my process.

Day 7, I finally got finished! This was a bird feeder at one time and then the cats came along. They decided it made a lovely place for an afternoon nap. It's on a pole so they have to jump from the deck railing to get in it. The bottom is screen so they get lots of air and shelter if it happens to be raining. They are Shadow, Whitey (all white except for an all black tail, Eclipse, Patches and Shiner. The font is Harrington, The background and clouds are from CF, the pics in the circles are mine and I made the butterflys in AD. They are actually made with the letter B! Thank You Carole, this was fun to do!

I believe they are Brown-eyed Susans or Black-eyed Susans. (Rudbeckia)
