  1. Here's my day 6 and my day7
  2. Todays inspiration was a family trip to Lappa Valley where tragic history combines with traditional family fun. Two Pics was not enough for me so I chose 4, offssetting the small and large pictures because it felt more aesthetically pleasig that way.
  3. Unfortunstely It is one I have had for over 10 years and no idea where it came from. the only thing I know avout it is that it is a free font.
  4. So here is my pages 4 and 5
  5. The font is called Wavy and it is one of my favourites
  6. And for day 3, today I got just the perfect picture for this technique
  7. And here's my day 2, the youngest grandchild at the seal Sanctuary with my sister.
  8. Ok so finally ready to post day one. I am visiting my family in Cornwall so the topic for me is obvious, the number of photos available to me will increase as the week goes on.
  9. Here's my take on this sketch, I swapped out one of the photo slots for the title and used all 3 areas on the left for bits of paper information. The first an exerpt from the Nuremberg Principles. The second my pre-preparessd statement which I read into the record after being arrested. The third an excerpt from my charge sheet. If anyone is interested I was found guilty of criminal damage, given a conditional discharge and had to pay court costs. It was the only time that protesting ever got me a criminal record. The first photo I am on the right tying on a banner before entering the base. The second photo my daughter can be seen on the left tying on her banner and my back can be seen as a black shape going through the fence to enter the base. The third picture is a photo I took of a sketch I made of the cell I was held in for 12 hours before being released on bail. The background phot is actually a rare photo of the mushroom cloud over Nagasaki after the bomb was dropped.

Three times lucky, or was that unlucky
  14. Yes I am really not sure why the edge has gone jagged because I did use a vector shape to create the cirlcle. Any suggestions as to what I may have done wrong are gratefully received.

  16. I am working on a design for a community Mural for the community garden where I live, the outlines of the design will be traced onto paper and transferred to a square made of either multiple mini canvases or multiple tiles and different community members will colour in their portion of their design however floats their boat, then the design will be reassembled, possibly framed and hung on the garden wall. In consultation with the other craft group members this is the design we have put together from a painting of a garden plaque. I used several 3d effects to emphasise the edges and then added a vector circle and added text on a path with a quote we all liked. When we eventually finish the project I will take a photo and update.

  18. Here's my effort, I really liked the way the shadow made some parts of the string look as though they were curling further from the page than others
  19. And here is my take on number 7
  20. So here we go with number 6. I didn't like the main image overlying the side bar so changed the layout a little. First my card front . and then the four fold
  21. Here's my number 5, there is some of the background peeping out the top purposely, the bit of snowman that peeks through the ring, looks better with some background. the font is Star Jewel and the image is mine Hopefully my psp skills are a little better than my snowman making skills
  22. Getting close to catching up now here is my card 4. The font is called Curlz and the images are all mine
  23. Here goes with my lesson 3, the font is Wavy and all the images were freebies from Creative Fabrica
  24. So here goes with my number 2 I did something different, filling the areas on the template with promoted selections from the card, which I used inner belvel and drop shadow on. I then put a show all mask over the main layer and with the airbrish and one of the watercolour brushes I have sprayed some black in areas under the elements which reduced the visibility of the main picture making the promoted elements stand out more. I didn't feel like it needed any words
  25. Playing catchup, here's my number 1, I did several different versions of this for all the sizes of card blanks I have. This is the one I decided to share. I am making christmas cards for next year featuring my own christmas photos, hopefully it will stir family members memories as it stirs mine. This one I am showing I took the ribbon out and replaced it with the text
