  1. Dear Sue you are so very right. I thought it was a bit hard to see but with a little verticle tweeking it should stand out nicely. I will give it a go when I find time. Thanks dear friend, very much appreciated. <3
  2. Thanks to everyone who has given my work delightful comments ... always appreciated my friends.  This magazine I am creating 'Touring Australia' incorporates the most popular holiday destinations in each state of Australia (7) and, as you can imagine, by no means covers all that is in the offering.  I am going from the east coast, south, west coast and finishing with the north.  As Carole has indicated there will be 8 pages I am planning a summary for the 8th page ... but, that may change as things do.  This gorgeous photo of a sunset crowning the Sydney Opera House was a must so I hope you enjoy perusing.  All fonts used are the same as the previous pages.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
  3. Day 2.  My home state Queensland with the Great Barrier Reef just a skipping stone from our shore.  I stayed with the same fonts and background overlay just changing up the colour to suit the photo.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
  4. Well I decided to revise my cover page and make it a magazine size ... 2550 pixels wide x 3300 pixels in height.  Following in the footsteps of Corrie, Sue, and Gerry and added a little extra in the sky with the font Vivaldi ... tip came from Sue.  The overlay on the mauve background paper is aboriginal art.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.

P.S. Again such beautiful work by all and helpful tips coming from everywhere, what a Campus!

  5. Well I decided to stick with the 3600x3600 format ... not that you see a lot of 'square' magazines but why not be different.  I have sourced some beautiful photos of Australian holiday destinations so I thought I would go with touring Australia.  I liked the idea of a bar code so thanks to Cristina, Sue and Corrie for putting that idea into my head.  Fonts used are Magazine 2 and Times New Roman.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
  6. OMGosh! I thought there were only a couple of participants to respond to but on second glance there are far more than that so I will just make one comment for all ... Splendid work my friends, a joy to peruse. ;D
  7. Thanks so much Corrie my sweet friend. I am yet to start the magazine challenge. I will start today but because I am a day ahead I am always the last to received the email ... if that makes sense, lol! Stay safe and well my friend. ;D
  8. I love the colours in this colour palette.  They are not colours I usually play with but I am up for the challenge.  Here in Australia it is the southern states that get hit with the frosty weather and especially Tasmania.  This photo of a wombat waddling along in the Tasmania snow was too cute so I just had to do something with it.  The background paper is my own following Cassel's tut for blocking.  The flower elements are out of a beautiful kit from GTD - Inked.  The font used for the title is Kaligraphia Galana Tres.  The torn paper is from Pixel Scrapper recoloured to suit the theme.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
  9. Very good Ann! I love your page and can see there are some I have read and some that I have yet to disover. You are soooo right ... you can never have enough books and there is not enough time to indulge! Similar taste in books my friend, that is for sure. Thanks dear Ann, much appreciated my friend. ;D
  10. Reading is something I love to do especially at night after I have gone to bed.  This page is a bit of a teaser and beneath the multiple overlays are 3 of my favourite books.  See if you can find them ... Art started this with his can you guess where I live page.  The alpha I used for the title is from Far Far Hill.  Thanks for takin a peek my friends.  ;D
  11. Thanks so much dear Sue, your comments always mean a lot to me. The card and envelope look fine to me on my pc but when I downsized for posting the envelope flaps (shadow 0 0 45 5) got lost once posted! Ah well I know that everyone on this Campus would know they are there. White can be a little problematic for display... ;D
  12. Very true Corrie ... sometimes a quickie can look as good as something you have spent hours on. Beautiful cards my friend, well done. I am looking forward to seeing your magazine pages as you said you would be doing it on flowers. I haven't really settled on a subject as yet but I think it may be about beach or holiday locations in Australia. ;D
