Cassel Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Theme-Games.jpg In November, our monthly theme is GAMES. Let's play our monthly alphabet game. Let's find words that are related to games, game pieces, etc. Who will start? 1
Dianne Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 c = checkers (a favorite of mine when I was a kid),. 1
Dianne Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 E = Euchre (I had to look up the spelling -- it's a card game). Ah, dominos...I remember playing that long ago and far away. This game is bringing back memories. 1
Cassel Posted November 3, 2016 Author Posted November 3, 2016 Oh Euchre!! When I met my husband, his family was regularly playing that and I had never heard of it so the first few years, I was just watching while they played (luckily, I was the 5th person in the room). Eventually, I learned and as the times changed, we had our weekly Sunday night card games. For several years afterward. (is it the same game where you play only with the cards 9 and up?) 1
Dianne Posted November 3, 2016 Posted November 3, 2016 Yes, that's the same card game. Don't ask me to play it, though. :-) 1
Joanne K Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 Gin Rummy A card game we played when I was a kid. We had a hardcover notebook to keep records of the scores . 1
Dianne Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 I is for I spy (with my little eye) guessing game 1
Dianne Posted November 11, 2016 Posted November 11, 2016 J = Jacks. I remember spending hours playing that game....it was great because it could be played alone or with another person. 1
Cassel Posted November 12, 2016 Author Posted November 12, 2016 K = King (along with a Queen and a Jack, and all other cards) 1
Sheila Hogg Posted November 14, 2016 Posted November 14, 2016 oooops! thought we were on I. Must clean my specs. M= Monopoly 1
Dianne Posted November 18, 2016 Posted November 18, 2016 o = Old Maid (I imagine they call this game something else now but in my early days, this was its name; and now it's mine). 1
Cassel Posted November 19, 2016 Author Posted November 19, 2016 P = Poker (that was an easy one, right?) 1
Jan Wilson Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Q is for Quoits the game you played by throwing a round hoop to get it over a pole from so many feet away. 1
Sheila Hogg Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 R = Rubix cube. Used to drive me nuts trying to get all the same colours in one place, whereas my young son could do it in seconds. 1
Jan Wilson Posted November 27, 2016 Posted November 27, 2016 U is for Unders and Overs which is a card, dice or a ball game 1
