February Theme Challenge - INDOOR PLANTS

Cassel

Theme-Indoor_Plants.jpg

We might associate gardening and flowers to the summer period, but we often have plants indoor that we grow and care for. Do you have a green thumb? Are you keeping that Christmas Poinsetta alive for months after the holidays? Are you repotting your plants over the winter?

Create a page about your indoor plants that you cherish (or even those you have a hard time keeping alive). Show us what you have.

Let's go!

Hello Scrapbook Campus.  You may have guessed but I do not have an indoor plant ... so the long and short of it is that I had to snag photos from Unsplash!  Photo on the left is by Alyssa Strohmann and the photo on the right is by Maddi Bazzocco.  The layout is from a lovely template by Marisa Lerin of Pixel Scrappers.  I did create the cactus element and papers are my own.  The font used is Kabupaten.  Thanks for takin a peek!

Hello Campus Friends.  Here is another for the indoor plant theme.  Again the photos are from Unsplash, top = creators collective, left = kira auf der heide, bottom = designecologist.  I have used another delightful layout by Merisa Lerin of Pixel Scrappers and the title alpha is by Melo Vrijhof also from Pixel Scrappers.  All papers are my own creation.  Thanks for takin a peek!

Wow Trish, I do love your jungle and your page has done it proud! You must have a green thumb which I envy cos I have lost count of the number of indoor plants I have sent to greener pastures, lol! I love the effect you put on your text, well done my friend. Also, thanks for your comments on my pages Hon, much appreciated. <3

Background is a brick perspective picture, I changed the roof and recoloured it and added a shadow.

Put up some shelves, added a glass sheet layer to then, then added books.

added various orniments and light effect to lamp.

Tubed another photo I have of the plants  that are in the other plant post. needs a bit more refining I think.

Then tried to tackle these shadows, which I am sure I have got them wrong.

Thank you Annie for your comments, much appreciated.xx   Some plants grow and other wither , the ones I have now are touch and go.   This particular lot, thrived from good light  more than my TLC. LOl. xx

here is the original x

Hello Scrapbook Campus.  Here is another for the theme challenge.  The photo on the left is by dakyo of Unsplash and the photo on the right is by Maria Orlova of Unsplash.  The layout was inspired by a sketch of Rochelle Spears.  I love pretty grunge, I find it so comforting somehow.  My sister is into 'shabby chic' and I am into 'pretty grunge'.  As the saying goes ... each to their own, ;D  Thanks for takin a peek!

Hello Scrapbook Campus.  This is another inspired from a sketch layout by Rochelle Spears.  The photo is from Unsplash and was taken by Edan Cohen.  The string element is by Elif Sahin of Pixel Scrappers.  The alpha is from Designer Digitals and is called 'Messy Slabs' by CZ.    The banner is from Pixel Scrappers.  The rest is my own creation etcetera.  Thanks for takin a peek!

Hiya again Scrapbook Campers.  I loved this simple photo from Unsplash by Mutzii so, of course, I had to do something with it.  The bunting I used is by Janet Scott from Pixel Scrappers.  The elements are my own creation trying my hand with the mouse to create string elements ... a bit wobbly on the side border, but hey, kinda natural don't ya think?   ;D  Thanks for takin a peek!

I found another great photo on Unsplash so, of course, I had to play.  Arrow, journal card and side border are from Pixel Scrappers.  The alpha is also from Pixel Scrappers and was created by Marisa Lerin.  Dandelion is a freebie off the web and the layout is mine.  Thanks for takin a peek!

Hi Cassel, Annie, Trish, Cristina and Jnet.  You all have been realty busy already this month and what excellents things to take the time to peruse. Ya;ll are fantastic, fantabulous, and lots of fun to be around here on campus.

Now that I have buttered you all up. so to speak, I am going to cheat a wee bit and post my Basic Scrap Class Module five here as well so I have something posted for theme of the month. I just hate when work interferes with fun, don't you?

This was an Easter plant delivery in 1993. Last spring I put it outside and lordy look what it did!!

Annie, you always find great photos and create amazing layouts with them. I love your creativity, my friend! <3

Trish, your plants look beautiful, and you did a lovely layout to showcase them.

Jnet, the poinsettia looks great, and you create a nice layout using the vase shapes from Carole. It matches perfectly. Every year, before Christmas, I buy a poinsettia, and this year was no different. It still looks good, but I am not sure if it will last until the end of the year. :)

Hi Dorothy, thank you for your kind words :) Your plant looks gorgeous, you found the right place for it. You did a very nice layout using different techniques.

Great work, ladies!
