New in the forum - 2019

Did you notice something new in the forum? I am not talking about new threads, or new posts, but there are some new features. If you look on the top right of the page, you should see a little grey or blue circle with a number (zero will be grey and any other number will be blue). That is the number of notifications you have related to forum threads, responses you got and such.

 

In addition, if you click on your name, you will now see additional fields, including one for your profile. From now on, you can change the image or add a new one. It will be nice if we can see who we are talking to, don't you think? On your profile page, you can even add a cover image, a bit like on Facebook. It is not essential, but could be a nice option.

 

But there is even more: you can now send private messages to other members! Simply click on their name in the forum, and on their profile, you will see a button to send them a message. How cool is that? But be respectful and don't abuse of that new privilege!

 

Those features were just added this weekend, and there is still some tweaking to do on the admin side. I am looking to add more functionalities but it will take a little bit of time for that.
