Susan Ewart Posted June 27 Posted June 27 I got an email about a 3 day sale for the Filter Forge unlimited license ($170 off reg price- I'm in Canada). Carole or any one who has this unlimited license, is this a good buy? Is there any problems when there is an upgrade to a new version?
Susan Ewart Posted June 28 Author Posted June 28 It turned out that the price was in USD, but not noted anywhere in the email. I contacted Filter Forge to ask if there was a special code for the price and to mention that the denomination should be in the email as I could not afford that price ($55 more). They were fantastic and got back to me right away and gave me a deal I was super happy with. Now I have the lifetime license. Next weeks Master Class is timely. 2

I got that mail as well but for me it wasn't an option at this moment, I'm way over my budget that I set aside for my hobbies. Besides that, I have seen that mail on more occasions, so I'll wait for another time. 2

Luckily, I'm allowed to take home computers from our work recycling bin and I got 20 (yes 20!) mac minis that hubby is updating to the current O/S and selling them (for $50 CDN - they are from 2014 and one from 2018 we are keeping- but he's able to update the O/S to the current version). Mostly I bring home PCs that he knows more about and upgrades with a little bit of money and parts he he has to put into them. He likes to tinker and I find it amusing that his hobby makes money and mine bleeds money. I told him, if he's going to retire he better have a hobby, because when I retire I have about 159 yrs of stuff I am going to do! And he wants to retire in the next 1-2 yrs, the spending will take a severe cut, that's why I'm splurging this year on the programs and some lighting equipment, I know that will stop and I will make do with what I have. Expand I understand your reasoning very well! Alas my husband is retired 15 years ago now and I stopped working just before him because reorganizations. And I'm the one with the expansive🤑 hobbies! 2
