gwen jewitt Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Hi , I have looked through the psp stuff but couldn't find the answer I needed. I have paint shop pro 2023 just started to use it today so learning my way around it I wanted to know where I can get DLLs from in order to try some plugins, hope you can help. Gwen.
Cassel Posted November 8 Posted November 8 One thing to remember is that 2023 is only a 64-bit version so all the older plugins are likely to be 32-bit versions so they would not work. What plugins do you want to use? Do you happen to still have an older version still?
gwen jewitt Posted November 8 Author Posted November 8 I don't have the dll files that I would need to use any plugins and don't know where to get them. I have pspx5 ultimate but my plugins are greyed out in the drop down menu of effects I must have messed something up when I transfered everything over to my new laptop some time ago.
Cassel Posted November 8 Posted November 8 Check out this blog post. It might have the specific answers for you. However, if you have a chance to install your X5, in addition to the 2023, it would give you the most flexibility for plugin use.
gwen jewitt Posted November 12 Author Posted November 12 Hi Cassel thanks for the link I managed to get the plugins to work in the 2023 version but it was just the Flaming pear flexify 2 that would work, at least it's a start.

One thing to remember is that PSP2023 is only 64-bit, so all the older plugins that were 32-bits and never updated likely won't work. There are two ways "around" this. you can use the Plugin Bridge mentioned in this post. It will work for some plugins, but not for all you can find an older version of PSP to install on your computer to run those older plugins. Maybe you already have an older version that you can install. They should still work fine with Windows 10 or 11. You can also try to download from this page if you have the license key but not the installation files. I THINK those are trial versions, but it is worth double-checking (and let me know)
gwen jewitt Posted November 13 Author Posted November 13 Hi Cassel I downloaded the plugin Bridge and I can now use more of my plugins, you were right to say only try 1 plugin in at a time. It did allow me to see if they worked or not and if they did was I really going to use it, once again many thanks for your help. I am getting to know my way around psp version 2023 I love some of the new things such as the gradient fill tool other tools will take a bit more practise. My workspace is set up just how I like it nice large icons and text, everthing is so easy for me to see. 1
