  1. Q = Queen Anne Cherry
  2. I have read these posts and have found many suggestions, but I have not seen a suggestion of an early question that should be asked. What is your Digital Scrapbook / Page for? How will it be Dislayed? If I were to print a traditional Scrapbook page 12 inches X 12 inches I would need an A2 size printer. My printer is size A4 (letter size USA). Should I make my page to fit my Printer? Am I going to display my page on my computer screen or send it to my Tablet / IPad / Phone ? ( So many different sizes and shapes ) If I am making a Scrapbook (instead of just a page) I could send it for printing and to be made into a book. How about displaying it electronically ? Many of us will have received a copy of Corel FastFlick with our copy of PaintShop Pro Ultimate. Has anyone used this to display their Scrapbook ? I have Scrapbooked a title page for a series of photographs that were made into a video with background music using Fastflicks.
  3. Q = Quince Known more as a fruit but has a light pink blossom.
  4. The last UK Solar Eclipse on 11th August 1999 occured whilst I was a Cub Scout Leader. I had set the Cub Scouts a challenge to write a " newspaper report" of the Eclipse and their experience of it. The main memory they had of it was of the sudden drop in temperature ( 8 - 10 degrees if I remember correctly) , and we where located over 200 miles away from the totality zone and only saw a partial eclipse. I remember the changes of the wind as it went darker and then lightened up again. I also wrote a report but cannot find it or the pictures from a weather satalite showing the shadow on the earth.
  5. Thankyou Carole I missed the typing error of the date
  6. No not a drawn one. The one of the Sun. I have just read a report that advises of a Total Solar Eclipse on 8th April 2024. The area of totality travels from Mexico over the USA to Canada . Sorry Carole it looks as though it will miss you by a couple of miles !! I am too far away in the UK to see any of this Eclipse. To find the track of the Moon's shadow just search Great American Eclispe 2024 on the internet. Will it touch anybody else ?
  7. A= Apple Pie with Custard or Cream or Ice Cream is always the question.
  8. Here is my day 1 page. I had to edit the photo as it was almost a silhouette as the kites were against the bright couds and then fill the sky with colour
  9. C = Chicory. A wartime alternative to coffee but still enjoyed by many people
  10. I have visited the Kite Festival today and have photographed some of the large kites. The stunt kites were not flying as the wind speed was to high for them to put on a controlled display. I am hoping for a calmer day tomorrow. This is a view of the kites flying when I arrived, requires some editing.
  11. Just signed up for this course. Locally there is a kite festival this weekend,( weather permiting )and I hope to be able to take some photos. So that will give me an article for my magazine.
