Well I started off with day 1 and 2 in paintshop pro with the intention of carrying on through to 7 but alas that's not to be I am in for cataract surgery tomorrow but I have squeezed in day 7 lesson I really enjoyed doing this one I changed the polka dot to a pattern using Effects- Reflection effects-pattern and I put the owl inbetween the background and the dots. The font I used was Baby Garland. There are some mistakes I made but too tired to go back to iron them out. Thank you Carole for all your hard work we all appreciate it.

Day 7 using affinity Photo I followed Caroles instuctions on the video she makes it so easy to follow, I was happy with the result, The photo was taken by someone else there is a flower festival exhibition on at the church it has been on for 3 days, it has been one of the major events in the year long celebration of the 13500th Anniversary of the founding of St Andrews Church . There were 30 exhibits in total and they were all amazing, so beautiful. The font used was Angela. I did a second one using the same photo and I added a dark brown gradient layer to blend in with the stained glass windows the font used was angelina.

Day 5 using Affinity I used the same brush as Carole as I liked the affect it gave, the font I used is back to Vintage. The photo is of two juvenilles with the red patches on the top of the head and that's mum at the feeder, my son took the photo just the other day, he has had woodpeckers visiting that same tree for the past 11 years. When he sent me the photo he wrote Mrs Woodpecker sighed wearily as she pecked up her order at the McPeanuts Fly-Thru, that second egg had definitely been a mistake... I read Caroles comments and I have redone it I am happier with the result, I also changed the Font to Before the Rainbow as I wasn't happy with the first one Back to Vintage ,thank you Carole ,all comments you make are positive ones

Day 4 using Affinity I used a photo of hubby relaxing on the grass under a tree with the hills behind him it was a lovely summers day, I changed the photo into a pencil Drawing and made a mask to soften the image by using a photo of the hills which I took from a slighty different angle. I then used a stipple brush over the top to add to it, finished off with Baby Garland Font for the text on a path. Added a second one using the brush set from the link Carole provided added a gradient for the background paper .

Dash the Beagle was rehomed through the Beagle trust he belonged to our son and his wife but he would give the children a nip if they went near his toys, they were so sad to see him go but the couple who have him now have had beagles for 20 years. The last beagle they had they had to put a lock on the fridge door as she could open it, they fell in love with Dash in an instant and took him back home with them, the main photo is Dash at his new home looking like he belongs there. I enjoyed learning new things in this lesson like making the patterned paper, the font used was Baby Garland. I kept the plaid background dark as I thought it showed up the mask layer more.

Lesson 7 Thank you Carole for another great workshop in Vectors using Affinity everyone has had some amazing results, it's all a learning curve no matter if you are a novice or experienced . Here are my efforts for lesson 7, the letter B on the inside has a photo of my begonia from my hanging baskets which I have just hung up outside. The last one is me playing around with the pencil tool in desinger and making this flower, I added a gradient to it and an elipse in the middle which I bevelled. Thought I would add this one to my post I had been working on it earlier and forgot to add it, unfortunately when I added my shadow I didn't notice that it showed up the line underneath the beads until I posted it dah😁

This is all I could manage for lesson 5 it took me far longer than it should have I think my brain was scrambled. I used Triangles to draw the kite shape and tried to give the top and bottom of the kite a smooth rounded curve to make it easier for my text. I added the ribbon later and put it underneath the text. It is now 1.30am I think I should go to bed now😁

Lesson 3 I used 3 different leaf shapes the first I followed the steps that Carole did in the video, the other to leaves I used the brush tool to draw veins on them and added an inner shadow { I think, sometimes I forget the steps I use if I haven't written it down} I also added a yellow border around the holly leaf.

Day 2 Preset shapes. My first one I used a rectangle and kept on adding nodes until I got the shape I wanted, it took me a while to do. I selected the image and placed a picture inside the shape so that you can see what the Angel of the North is, it is 66ft tall with a wingspan of 177ft. My second preset shape is an ellipse with a fill and a stroke I used three circles for the iris and the pupil and played with some of the effects to give me the finished result, I saved both shapes to assets.

Sorry didn't see your qustion had been answered looks like mine was a long winded way round it.😁

yes it is possible you can click on any of the sizes and tpye in the size you want make sure you have it on pixelas and not mm. move along to colour and you can make it transparent by clicking the box next is the margins knock these off. You can now save the size in presets to use again. I took a screen shot the red area is where your preset is.
