Well, the workshop has come to an end with Day 7. What a lot of fun. I was surprised that with no template for Day 7 to start my thinking that I had some difficulty coming up with an idea that stayed with the waterfall theme. In the end I abandoned the masks and created a cascade of photos to finish. I have enjoyed seeing all the stories that the participants shared with their photos and words. Until next time.

Well, here is my day 6 entry. We're almost at the end of this fun project. One more day to make the best magazine page of the bunch. There are so many great ideas in this forum. It's a joy to see them and get new ideas for designing meaningful images that catch people's attention.

I have put a different twist on the Day 5 lesson. So far all the waterfalls I have used are of the natural variety. But as I was going through my photo library I noticed a picture that I took as an amusement park. I realized that we also have man made waterfalls. Now I also understand how to make and manipulate masks better.

My day 2 page. I am trying some things a bit different using the elements of lesson 3 and learning a lot more about PSP. Merci, Cassel.

Staying with the waterfall theme, here is my first page. It's a little wordy but I am trying to make it look like and article that might appear in a magazine.

Hello Scappers and PSP Users, I'm liking all the examples already shown on this forum. It gave me the idea of using waterfalls as a theme. I live in mountain country so waterfalls large and small are plentiful. When I take the two hour drive to visit my son's family, there are three waterfalls all worth visiting along the way. So naturally I have lots of pictures of them. Hopefully you will enjoy seeing them through this evolving magazine article.

In a recent visit to Halifax, we visited a cemetery that has victims of the Titanic disaster buried there. It got me interested in learning more about how the city and the people of Halifax stepped up to help. Halifax was only 800 miles from where the Titanic sank, so ships based there were used to find survivors and recover victims. It warms my heart to read that people are so willing to help others when disaster strikes. This is true everywhere in the world.

Corrie, I love your recognition of the Squamish First Nation. In the modern world they are now headquartered in North Vancouver, British Columbia and there is a town nearby called Squamish, but the road signs on the way to the town say 'Sk̲wx̲wú7mesh'. I did not know that their traditional territory went so far south. Well done on the image.

Carole, I just looked through my Scrapbooking Project folder and found a folder called 'First Try - Love Theme'. I don't know for certain if it was a Boot Camp but it was my first introduction to your tutorials. The files I created are dated Feb 2019.

Wow! Daniel, your calendar is full of terrific pictures nicely assembled to match each month of the year with the seasons. I especially like your winterization of the months.

Thanks, Cassel for your note about the Artsy masks. They certainly make the area around the image more interesting. Also I learned a lot from your Day 3 video. The information on using the Character Map will be useful in other programs too. Day 4 you introduced the Transparency Lock, so great. I am waiting expectantly for what will come next. I am learning so much. Merci. Here are my March and April projects with elements from all 4 days.

Well I have Day 1 calendar pages done. I used the day 2 Background instructions to liven the pages up. I also highlighted some dates as those are family birthdays that need to be remembered. These first two photos are from my library but were not shot in the wild. Hence the sad face on the gorilla. I struggled a bit this the mask until I realized from all the other submissions that they were designed to show through outside the frame. I like the effect.

I'm OK now. It turns out that background colour is the same as the colour when a letter is selected. When I was did a background Fill with a different colour, the selected text in the month layer appeared. My bad.
