  1. Hi Daniella. It is nice to know that you are safe in our much loved state of Tasmania. I do know that you have had your problems with fires in recent years and there are also some contained fires burning currently. Here's hoping that 2020 brings some much needed respite for this beautiful country. Pleased to make your acquaintance! :)
  2. Jan, I have watched this and as a fellow Aussie it broke my heart. It is a beautiful tribute for such a disaster ... and, it still goes on with no relief in sight. Here in Queensland we have not had our spring rains. The ground is crispy, crunchy to walk on with no sign of green except where people are hand watering to keep their plants alive. Even this is not being very effective as our trees and shrubs appear to be dying from the top down. Bundaberg appears to be out of the danger zone for now but we were smoke affected for most of spring and the beginning of summer due to the fires in the surrounding rural areas. Our local firies did a truly brilliant job. Today we have a little cloud cover but the forecast says a 6% chance of precipitation, 2 mm. But, everyday the forecast has been similar and no such thing has eventuated. Sunburnt Country indeed. For those who have never heard of our poet Dorothea Mackellar below is a link to her famous poem "My Country". I think this poem resonates in the heart of most Aussies even through these most trying of times.

  3. Trish, your Time for Peace page is beautiful and reflects a genuine call for peace in this world of turmoil. Your purple lace is lovely and reminds me of that pineapple crochet pattern that we used to follow years ago, well done Hon.

Cristina, thank you very much for your delightful comment, always appreciated Hon. The tulle tutorial is on the Classes - Intermediate - Creative Scrap page under the Ribbons and Bows heading ... believe me, it is super easy!

  4. Hi Cassel. I live in Bundaberg which is a small city in Queensland about 4 hours drive north of Brisbane. The rural areas around us were hit by fires in early Spring (September) but are seemingly under control for now, although some are still burning. The fires are now concentrated in New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Some residents have had to flee to coastal areas where the Australian Navy are attempting to evacuate them to safer territory. The town of Cooma was put on high alert for fire evacuation when at 9 pm Saturday evening one of the town's twin water tanks, which were situated in hills above the town, burst and flooded the town. Speculation that the extreme heat possibly caused the tanks seams to rupture. Those residents were battling flooding and choking from smoke inhalation ... go figure! Fire fighters from all over the world have joined in with a helping hand. Dropping water from overhead has become almost impossible as flying conditions are too hazardous and there has already been a couple of helicopters go down. The fires are generating their own fire tornadoes so our Firies are perplexed, exhausted and wondering where to go from here. We are a nation desperately needing Mother Nature to lend a helping hand. :(
  5. Hi Scrapbook Campers.  This was a celebration for my sister's twin daughters, Katie and Brenna, who had turned 21. Picture was taken a few years ago, 2015.     Background paper was my own creation.  The tulle was created following a Cassel tutorial as was the slip in photo look and the name arrows.  The rest were elements from Pixel Scrapper which I tweaked here and there.  Thanks for takin a peek!
  6. Perhaps we could change 2 letters but only after having exhausted changing one letter. For example EASIES could become BABIES and then we revert back to changing one letter for as long as we can before resorting to changing 2 letters. To make it easier for the next player the previous player could highlight which letter/letters were changed.

For what it is worth I tried changing every letter of EASIES with all the letters of the alphabet to come up with a single letter change and got nowhere! :(

  7. Hello Scrapbook Campus Friends.  I played around and created another cluster which I then used to make a New Year alpha ... limited of course because of the 2020 baubles.  The hardest part for this one was creating the mother-of-pearl pattern with a hint of gold.  It did take ages to do and somehow I don't think I will ever remember the steps taken, lol!  Thanks for takin a peek!
  8. X = Xylophone (This is not a cheat, :) When I was a child I longed for a xylophone and then one Christmas "Santa" miraculously gifted me one. I think perhaps that Santa may have eventually regretted the provision of that gift as I tortured the ears of our adult family for weeks/months to come. Funnily enough it eventually disappeared and Santa never supplied me with a replacement! LOL!)
  9. Nice birthday card Trish and the Christmas card is really lovely ... the turquoise and bronze color combination is gorgeous. Shadows are a nuisance and poor Cassel must think we are naughty students after all the work she has put into it for us. But, sometimes the general rule does not seem to apply. I guess that is why I tend to break the rules quite often, ;D Perhaps I am just a head in the sand kinda gal! <3
  10. Thanks dear Trish, much appreciated my friend. It is soooooo good to be back, :)

For the color of the cars I used the color changer tool which is in the drop down for the flood fill tool. Change the foreground in the materials palette to the color you wish to change and then change the background in the mp to the color you want to use ... then click on the element that you want to color change. It is a bit touchy and sometimes it branches further than you may want it to go but I tend to play around and eventually get it to where I am happy. I expect that Cassel would know it a lot better than myself and may be able to give us a tut on it sometime. <3

  11. Hello dear Scrapbook Campers.  Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you.  This is what I played around with today.  The background paper I created by superimposing a bottom Christmas border onto a blank white page and then using Filters Unlimited 2, paper texture, recycling paper.  The VW beetle was a freebie from PicsArt and was created by Stephanie.  I did recolor it to a classic beetle green and then a red for the sticker by using the color changer tool (a magic tool in Paint Shop Pro).  The upper left corner is one that I have had for a few years and the fonts I used are One Signature, Segoe UI Light and Dancing.  Thanks for takin a peek!  <3
