  1. I researched mrt.exe and found the following. You don't have to run it. The tool is updated by Microsoft on “Patch Tuesday”, which is the second Tuesday of every month. After this patch has taken place, the tool automatically runs and reports any findings to Microsoft. You can find and run the tool yourself by typing mrt.exe into the Search box or command prompt window. You can check the details of previous scans to see if the tool found any malware by using the following method: Press the Windows key + R Type this string: %WINDIR%\debug folder, and press enter. Open mrt.log file This was my report from Nov. 14/23 - no issues. Thanks for the input.
  2. Hi, I finally had a response from Corel support. Here is the info: "This is a known issue and I have sent all the information regarding the issue to our Development Team to investigate further. The Team does not provide us with any ETA required for the fix or workaround, thus we cannot provide any ETA at the moment. We hope it won’t take long. Once additional information or a fix is provided, we will contact you immediately."
  3. Hi, I did the reset, and tested. The problem is still there. I have opened a case with support.
  4. Thanks, I will try this and see how it goes.
  5. Hi, Support helped me reinstall PSP 2023 a while ago, and I thought all was working well. However, I thought it was not allowing me to save, as my files were not updating in the directory they are stored in. I found that they were being saved to the last directory I saved a file to. I never had this issue before, and it is not in 2021. Then yesterday, it saved a file to a directory I had not saved anything to. I only knew as the actual directory the file should have been in, did not reflect my updates. I had to search my system to find the file, which I did and then moved to the correct directory. Could there be a setting I am missing that causes this? Thanks for listening.
  6. Yes, that is my version.
  7. Hi, I keep getting more issues. I was adding text to my project as a vector in a selected space. That was fine, however, when I duplicated the layer, (as I was using a font not installed on my system & my intention was to turn the copy into a raster) it removed the line returns and stretched it out in one line. I did one duplication with the selections ants on and one duplication with the selection ants turned off, and both times the returns were removed. I have never had this issue before. As Corel support said to forward any more issues I find, I sent it to them. I also recorded the issue, then did the same in PSP 2021 where there is no issue, but was unable to send the recordings as they are too large. I hope they tell me a way to send the files to them, so they can give it to their tech team to resolve. Has anyone else come across this?
  8. I had an issue with the update. It installed fine, but every time I did a merge down, it was crashing. I put in a case, and I had to close down a lot of my startup apps, install and update some Visual C++, and shut down some processes. That seems to have fixed the crashes, but then as I was testing the merge down, it removed the layer, and duplicated the one above it. Undoing did not bring it back. I did not save and closed the file. When I reopened the layer was there. So Corel support did a remote session with me, but I was not able to reproduce. They don't want me to reinstall, they want me to monitor and report any further occurrences. I had this happen before the update, so I am wondering if it is a bug that did not get fixed.
  9. I have a setup files directory for 2021, did not purchase 2022, but have 2023 and no set up files directory. Both are ultimate versions.
  10. Thanks, they are installed already, and both work: painter as a standalone, and particleshop as a plugin. I just wondered if painter should have been a plugin, but Cassel straightened it out for me. I wasn't able to figure out how to reply directly to the actual comment.
  11. Hi, I have painter essentials as a standalone. Is it supposed to be a plugin. In my effects, Painter, there is only Particleshop showing. Why does it say painter? Have I missed something in setup? I cannot find anything on line that mentions it being a plugin. Thanks
  12. Hi, I too did the update, and my haze removal was not visible nor in the view, customize screen. I reset my workspace and it showed up. However, now the program keeps crashing. I was working on 2 files, taking one and layering on the other and doing a blend mode. As soon as I try to merge, the program crashes. I did a system reboot, still crashing, then a PSP reset, still crashing. I did not redo my preferences, as I may have to do a reinstall. Hope not. I have opened a case with support, as I checked the Corel forum and no mentions of this issue. Anyone else having this issue. Also in one of the above comments (and I might be confused), it was said the haze removal had sliders? Am I wrong here? I don't see sliders with it. Trying some stuff and it is not saving my files everytime I press save. I had to save in a new file name to keep my changes. Very strange.
  13. Hi, I thought I would put in what I am working on. I like to make photo books and I am in the process of doing one for our Alaskan cruise from 2018. Yes I am way behind. I usually use Shutterfly to print, so I use there standards sizes. I also do double page layouts. For this one, I started out with a plain blue background, then added some overlays, and blended them, and also added some spots with a brush, then faded them out. I scrap lifted the format from an Indigo template 34, using a mask I purchased from the Indigo template 47. I got most of the elements from Design bundles - Nautical Water colour clipart collection, and Pixel Scrapper Beach elements Blog train from August 2013. My title is the font Calistroke, & the journal is DB Sweet Everyday. I did my frames by doing selection borders, which I learned from a Carole class. (Thank you.) I have learned so much from these classes.
  14. Hi, I tried a tag, using preset shapes, a rope tubea texture, and a couple of brushes. Didn't do a great job on the shadowing, but first attempt at it. Oh I also used the pen tool to round my top.
  15. I did this layout for a photobook I made from my trip to Newfoundland.
