I think you can the selection promote to a new layer and fill it with white or another color

I tested some ofmy  papers here

now I finished day 7, I used the mask I made in the last Maskworkshop. I made a pattern with 4 different colors - angel45, the background with gaussian blur.

the brad and silhouettes are from Zookits made by CSSD and ljd at Gingerscraps

day 6 , using a mask by Jessica Dunn and another mask by Rachel Martin

font is Arnold Story, I made 2 Linoleumpapers and filled a selectionsborder with the darker one

I will go with photos from our Tierpark --Zoo here in Aachen I made over the years

I made again my own papers with Quicktile scripts and I made the border around the photo with Stiches by Cassel

here I made the paper with a color from the photo and added a wooden texture

day 5

I used the Kit Introspective by Jen Yurko,  the little tag is filled by me with the pentablet,

I clipped a paper from the kit to the ricrac.

I used again the QuickTile scripts to make patterns for the papers, fonts are Campanile and Fette Steinschrift, 

the Lego Blocks are a picturetube by Cassel

I made the masks so -- I turned the grey and black photospots to white and used the new masklayer in black, so no need to invert the image.
