Cyndi Roether Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Following the Hold It video and written instructions I finally got a paper clip made. I had to do the inside selection twice (once for the clip and once for the shadow) but it seemed to work. Then I replaced the white paper I had with the bird pattern and now it is now quite right. Sorry I do not have a saved version with the white paper. Why did I need to do the inside selection twice? My layers never seemed to match what you had in the instructions. Such as when you said to select the promoted clip and promoted shadow, I did not have two promoted layers.
Cassel Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Cyndi, In order to get those two promoted layers, you needed to have the shadows on separate layers. Maybe you added the shadow on the same layer which means that you only had ONE promoted layer. Could that be the case?
Cyndi Roether Posted April 1, 2020 Author Posted April 1, 2020 I noticed when going through it again today an instruction line I missed before. First cutting and promoting the paper clip, THEN cut and promote the shadow. I missed that instruction before. Thank you.
