Cassel Posted January 25, 2020 Posted January 25, 2020 https://scrapbookcampus.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/Tut-Tech-Challenge.jpg The Campus is the perfect place to learn more about photo editing, various techniques, or PSP in general. This challenge will give you an opportunity to practice some of those techniques or use some tools. This month's Tut/Tech Challenge is to add light glow to lights that are not lit. You can use photos with lamp posts, street lights, but it can also be lights on a wall or any other light you feel could be lit. HERE is a blog post that explains how to add those lights. It is up to you to find what photo to use! And let there be light!
Dorothy Donn Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 My First challenge Attempt: Tut/Tec I am very pleased that there is a way to salvage old holiday photos. Bless You Cassel.
Bertha Planck Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 The difficulty here was to show the advertising on the lamp again...
Annie Tobin Posted January 30, 2020 Posted January 30, 2020 Early evening street lights. Neat tutorial Cassel, thank you.
Cassel Posted January 30, 2020 Author Posted January 30, 2020 Bertha, how did you do it in the end, to keep the text legible through the light? Annie, such a simple image that has a lot of character!
Bertha Planck Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Hi Cassel, From the original photo I selected and removed the white color. Then I reversed the selection and saved text and image as a new photo. This new photo I placed between the 2 layers with the yellow light. Translated by deepl.com
Annie Tobin Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Very clever Bertha, I shall remember this technique. I have learned much from a simple tutorial. It always pays to sneak in on these tuts because a lot can be offered from both teacher and students. Thanks Cassel!
