  1. Lesson 7: Thank you so much for this workshop @Cassel Informative and a lot of fun on all the tutorials, and I've learnt a lot. This was a little challenging for me, but I got there in the end and will have another go tomorrow. I ended up giving up on a few that I was working on as I tried to run before I could walk when I was trying different shapes to use ? One question, can you use a picture tube or a custom made preset shape and convert to path? I tried but the convert to path was already greyed out, yet there wasn't a path icon showing on the layer. Apologies if I've missed something on the earlier tutorials, and maybe if time allows tomorrow, I'll have a look. Anyways, here's the one I did do successfully ?
  2. Lesson 6 - Loved this lesson, and could play around with this for hours ? I just noticed that in my haste I didn't bring in the bottom nodes of the gold rope frame in... 'I' is my grandaughter's initial (age 6) and the 'R' is my grandson (age 2) ❤️❤️ My few creations:
  3. Lesson 5: Have been away from the computer for a couple of days, and WOW, so much to catch up on. Have had a quick peruse of the pages I've missed on the forum and there are some wonderful snippets of creativity from everyone. I managed to complete Lesson 5 today, but will struggle to get 6 and 7 done tomorrow. Really enjoyed learning about text on a path - on a photo and on a preset shape. Anyways here are my offerings for no 5:
  4. @Marie-Claire I agree with you, some bits I 'get' but mostly it is a case of to-ing and fro-ing a lot between what the lesson is doing and what I am doing. We will get there - practice, practice, and more practice will get us there ?
  5. Lesson 4 - A bit of a challenge in a few parts but got there in the end. Not sure if a glitch in PSP 2022, but most probably me ? Had to watch and re-watch the C R A C instruction as after 'paste' I couldn't move my cutout even though it was selected - the 'move' cross wasn't there. This happened a few times, and then I don't know what I did different but suddenly it started to move.... With the popout/cutout on the inside of the mug I was impressed that when I went to fill it, it filled it with the colour without covering the background with it - that's what I thought would happen, but I'm glad it didn't ? Definitely need to work on the curves more, but here is my attempt:
  6. Keep with it @SHARON HUGHES even though you're not working with 2023. I use PSP 2022, and as for time wise, I purposely don't spend too much time in one go doing the projects - probably no more than an hour each time. I find it overwhelming also with watching, re-watching, pausing, clicking, going back to the project etc. I tend to keep to the basics with the workshops because of this, and when time allows I have a play around adding effects and backgrounds etc. I also write down a lot of notes and what things mean etc so I can go back in case I 'forget' ? I'm enjoying the workshop and it is worthwhile. I'm surprised how much I've learnt in just a couple of days. Good luck with your craft show ?
  7. Lesson 3 - my first attempt, but will give this another go as well as the other leaves. Great to put the 'lines' option to good use. Have tried to use it before but ended up with a colourful mess ? ?
  8. Excellent Lesson 2 Carole, thoroughly enjoyed it ? There is some wonderful work on these pages. I have done the very basics in doing my shapes, but I will be practising more and more, especially with node placement and the clicking on them to get the arms of the node types. I have read through many of the posts, and thank you to the participants who suggested the grids etc, made it a lot easier to deal with the symmetry of the shapes. And when using a few shapes, centring each one greatly helps. I love that you can export many images into one file and then see them come up individually in the preset shape menu. Anyways, here are my first attempts at the shapes, but there will be a lot of fun to be had with getting a bit creative as I practice more.
  9. First off, thank you Cassel for sorting the email problem out. Much appreciated ? I have tried many times previously to understand nodes and vectors and I'm glad to say, I actually think I 'understood' it (kind of?) Time will tell, but I will keep practising. I don't think my first effort is too bad, but I did keep 'making' extra nodes, and also on the arrow it came up with 'merge' when I added a node. Not sure what I did to do that, or even how I got out of it - once you click and click again, and then maybe again - it sorts itself out without the understanding of the why's and how's ? It's quite a fun activity playing around with shapes etc, and definitely addictive. Looking forward to Lesson 2 ?
  10. Hello everyone, hope you're all well. Have signed up for the workshop and got the registration confirmation, but as yet have not been sent an email to take part. Some excellent vectors being posted already. I'm in the UK and its 5:40pm, so don't know if that has something to do with it. Looking forward to posting my vector shapes from the workshop. Hoping to start posting more in the forums as I have a bit more time to experiment with PSP etc. Thank you in advance for any clarity on the workshop email.
