NIKO is a Geoffroy's Cat, one of the smallest, but fiercest of the wild cats. They come in a variety of colors, including golden with spots and gray with stripes, but this dark, melanistic variety is common. Their scientific name is Leopardus geoffroyi and they are the size of a small domestic cat, weighing about 8-10 lbs.
