  1. Yes we have several times. They are a blast!   All the ones we have done were in the dark. This made the escape room a little spooky.  They did supply small flashlights. One time I arranged my daughter’s wedding shower in an escape room before we had the usual shower.  I can say that we had lots to talk and giggle about at the shower. It gave all of us quite a sense of comradery.  Of all four escape rooms only once we did not make out in time. One tip I can offer is to have everyone in the room shout out anything to the group that seems like it could be a clue.  Keep everyone informed because the one clue may be the difference in escaping on time.

  2. Hi All,

I am back to take this class again.  You are in for a real treat. Cassel is exceptional teacher.  A lot has happened since the first time I took this class. So, I want to refresh my Paint Shop Pro skills.  I am like a sponge ready to absorb the knowledge. I am looking forward to this class. I want to put together a scrapbook for my daughter and grandkids. I also have a backyard of Texas wild flowers this spring to post.

    See you in the lab.

  3. Hi Cassel,

Here is my Mod 3 Scrapbook finally. We are remodeling our bathroom so I have gotten a bit behind. Making shadows on elements is the most challenging task for me. Rotating some shadows and adding the shadows on a new layer makes me a little dizzy at times. I have a question that I will send you a separate message. Loved adding the little something to the background at the end of the lesson. That puts the icing on the cake, very clever. Sally

  4. I redid the shadows on my Module 2 so I am submitting it again.Looks better to me. Thanks for catching the details. Much appreciated!

BTW, I left the darker shadow on the Title so they would stand out more.

  5. Cassel,

The print screen's I sent are of the drop Shadow properties box settings that I used on the original project Module 2.

The pictures of the banner and the rickrack are the corrected shadows that I redid. I know the response I sent did not display the way I thought they would. I will work on the warp brush.

    Thanks

  6. I redid my shadows for the banner and rickrack. Do they look better?

Is there a way to clear the drop shadow properties box? I think I was wrong on the settings because the last settings I used were still displayed. I do not know how to clear the drop shadow settings. I feel like if I could clear the last settings my shadows would work better. Maybe that was what messed them up. What do you think?

  7. Hi Cassel,

My project 2 went OK. I don't care for the background or the letters that I used but I could not find what I was looking for. How in the world do you keep your scrapbook kits and files organized? I find myself spending most of my time hunting for elements over and over again, so I feel like I am wasting time. Sorry I had to vent. Please let me know how you keep your files in order without going crazy. I like learning the open layer script. It really saves time. My husband is always trying to pry me away from my computer. Ha ha.

  8. Hi Cassel,

Thanks for guiding me to the correct posting page. This project was challenging for me. I learned the hard way in this lesson. After completing my project, I saved my .psp file 3600x3600 then I saved my .psp file as a .jpg at 3600x3600. Next, I accidently saved my .psp 600x600 without realizing that I was using my original 3600x3600. I went about my day doing other errands. I reopened my opened PSP software and discovered the mistake I made. So the only way I figured to reverse this was to reopen the. psp 600x600 then resize it back to3600X3600. As far as I can tell, it is the same as the original. I will not make that mistake again. Good lesson.

  9. Hi Cassel,

I finally got my PSP to work, it's still very slow. I'm going to get it working so I can take the next class with you. I have learned so much in this class. I appreciate your step-by-step instructions. I hope you know how special you are, I think my classmates would say the same. I look forward to working with you in the future. Day 7

  10. Hi Cassel,

Thanks for the information on the text tool. I am saving that link. I have a new problem.  There is something wrong with my PSP2020 software.  It has locked up on me.  It was running very slow at first now I can't get it to work at all. Finally, I was able to close PSP2020 down then restart my computer. I ran my utilities to clear out my files. I was able to open PSP back up but it is unresponsive now. It's like it's frozen. If I click on the file tab the background of the tab changes to white then it freezes.  Do you have any suggestions as to what to do next?  Thanks in advance for your help.  By the way word is working well.

  11. Hi Cassel,

Thanks to you and this class, I feel a lot more confident using PSP2020. In other words, when I first opened the new software I felt lost. Now that I took this Bootcamp Scrapping Class, I don't feel lost any more. YAY! From the last lesson, I was able to add the glitter.png to my patterns in the correct folder. It was a little hard to find, however, I found it. I assume we can add different fonts in the font’s folder also. Right?

What's next? I would love to take more classes with you. Do you have a class about correcting photos, especially correcting exposure, lighting and different effects, and etcetera? Please remind me where I can get that information. Thanks Much.

    Now onto Scrapbook 7

  12. Hi Cassel,

In this lesson I found out how important is is to create the layers in the composition in the correct order. I accidently deleted my whole scrapbook.psp not once but twice. UGH Is there a way to save the glitter pattern to my materials palette? I kept getting a message... see-attached screenshot. I could not figure it out. In addition, I cannot get my materials and layers palettes to stick. They keep appearing in different places. I should know this but I do not. Thanks for the help with these issues.

  13. Hi Cassel & All,

This is my day 4 scrapbook page. I used the free kit for this SB.  I changed the color of the plaid image to match the photo better. I used MS Word for the steering wheel also changing the colors. I copied the little birds from the lesson (hope that is ok). I had to use the background eraser to remove the white background then saved it as a GIF.  The class videos are excellent. Will the links go away after this class? I have learned a lot so far and I cannot thank you enough. I want to keep learning PSP 2020. Thanks Much!

  14. Hi Cassel,

I spent most of Saturday working on homework 3 class. When I finally realized I was coloring 1 pixel at a time I decided to abandon my first go and start a new page today.  Making my own embellishments was challenging but fun. I think I am slowly learning some of the basics of digital scrapbooking. Thanks for the lesson.

  15. Hi there,

I learned a lot in this class.  I had fun moving the veggies around.  I had to go back to the video because I needed help getting the sandwich on the table.  Other than that it went well. Really enjoyed this class. Thanks

  16. Boot Camp Day 1

I am using the light grey for background and tool pallets. I have the standard, tools, and status toolbars open. As far as the pallets I have the layers, materials, and the tool options. I am sending my 600x600 pixels picture of my newborn grandson.

    Thanks Cassel for your guidance!

  17. Hi There,

I am looking forward to relearning PSP. I started with PSP 7.  I took classes then and I felt like I could edit photos pretty well.  Time goes by and even though I have downloaded the newer versions every year but I did not keep up with the classes. PSP has changed over the years, of course. I have PSP 2020 and hope to start at the beginning to learn how to use it. I am trying to learn how to correct photos again. My grandson has a reddish color that I would like to correct. I would love to learn how to fix this problem. Hi All
