The sunset picture was created from scratch in PSP 2018. The second image is the original picture with the slats script and my watermark applied. I had fun with this one and like having the tree in front of the slats for a hint of 3d.

E = Element
def: a basic member of a mathematical or logical class or set;
But in computer programming and in graphic design, an element is a basic unit which can be programmed, edited, or used as a building block in a larger process or image. For example, "select the leaf element in this picture using the selection tool, then invert and apply a blur to the inversion so that the leaf element is clear and the background shows depth of field."

My final project. I tried out the selection shapes, 3d ribbon trip, text box, using guides to line up elements, and offsetting the frame from the picture. That was hard for me because I tend to be a frame-perfect-fit person with pictures. Fun project. I also added the letters on the 5 octagon swatches. I would probably change colors or add a smaller swatch of a lighter shade beneath each letter.

I didn't add any of my pictures to this one because I wanted to play with the elements. Enjoying using the pinking shears effect (cutouts in scrapbook lingo) and played around with varying the shadow size to emphasize some elements. I also changed the colors of the text I entered near the bottom. Use the dropper to get matching shades with some of the colors in the backgrounds.

Day 5 Project 3
A few years ago, my spouse had sunflowers that grew to over 8 feet tall. They were still growing until the squirrels started breaking them off while the seed was still green. I managed to get a few pictures before they managed to destroy all of them.
The saying in this kit reminded me of those sunflowers.

Day 4. Wish I had the adventure background that Carole used but I like this one too. The picture is from our MS walk a couple of years ago. We have walked (I actually ride my power chair named Argo-any Xena fans here?) for 20 years or more. I wanted to keep this simple. I may actually print it out and give it to her.
I used the black shadow on everything but the three dark flowers. I switched to a gray on those since they were already dark.
So, my second digital scrapbook page is attached.

Bootcamp day 3 image. This is technically my very first real digital scrapbook page. I've done other PSP pages and graphics, but this is my first scrapbook page. I would have liked to be able to use a light fill for the background of the text box to make it more readable so maybe in a future project... I am the one in the middle.

HI. I'm Debbie from western NC in the USA.
The thing I've appreciated the most so far was being reminded that I can enlarge the icons... much easier on my eyes. I've also enjoyed reviewing some basics. We sometimes lose the tips and hints along the way so this is great.
I am using 2018 PSP. I have 2019 but haven't done the upgrade on this computer yet. The light gray background is my preference now though I have been playing around with it.
I decided that for my plate, I wanted to dig right in so I poised the knife above the bread ready to cut it into lunch! I am right-handed so I rotated the cup for easy reach.
