  1. Late start (surgery). Took me close to 10 hours to do my 1st lesson. ? I don't use PSP that often and have to hunt for the tools after I figure out which tool I have to use. Really need to start using PSP more than Zoner 18 Pro. At any rate, here's my stab at lesson 1. The words in French I translated as much as I could. Translation had no idea on some of the words.

  2. Wendy R: So happy you liked the Mardi Gras layout. I miss going to the Mardi Gras each year in New Orleans. Biloxi/Gulfport have nice turnouts but no city does it like New Orleans. :P Take care and stay safe.
  3. Another hodgepodge of images put together so don't know how close this comes to being a Project 5. I get lost with so many layers even when I label them. Not too keen on scrapbooking kits. Just trying to commit to memory how to find/use the correct tools and what their keyboard shortcuts are. I have no idea whether shadows or text is done correctly but here 'tis:

  4. Cassel: The Glitters was one whole image found on one of the many free image sites I have an account with. No fill. Just resized as needed. I wouldn't know how to make a glitter fill...only a copy/paste. I get lost at many of those kit sites when the link given does not go directly to where you can download it.

So happy I don't have to redo the project as I am behind in doing the last project. I got my second vaccine shot at the VA Friday (26th) which put me out until Sunday because of a fever. The nurse said the second one would be the worse even if I didn't have any problems with the first. I Will try to get Project 5 done before the deadline.

  5. Cassel: The Mardi Gras background was slightly smaller than the 3600X3600 size so just dragged it to fit. It wasn't made from glitter strips but was a complete background from one of the many image sites. Have no idea what you mean by the scale value used since it was dragged to fit.

I rechecked the value for shadows and it was set to 25 pixels; not the 10 I believe you used. I didn't opt to put them on separate layers. Can redo them if you want. I do rename my layers as they are made, but it is hard for me to see the names of my layers as the text is way too small for me unless I use a magnifying glass.

I was going back and forth between the video and the editor and usually forget something. Short term memory problem.

  6. Project 4: Mardi Gras in Biloxi, 2011 when sister and BIL from GA came to visit. Went back and forth between video and editor so hope I didn't miss doing anything from tutorial. Photos and elements from free stock sites.

  7. Hmmm. I understood that shadows weren't to be used on text so left as is. I could have taken more time but I tire easily. Will try to do better next time. Or, just post another effort for the same project using something like 3D letters. :P

Not sure whether you write your own code (PHP, C++, plain HTML5) or have used a complete site using premade templates customized as needed, but indenting replies where images can also be uploaded might be easier than you think. The site where I do free photo edits indent with a light line shown from the post being replied to down to the replier's post. I use the Insert/Edit Image (icon to right of insert/edit link icon) here in your HTML Editor instead of the "Upload Images" button at the bottom left. Seems to work so far but haven't tried when I do an edit to my post.

  8. That was supposed to be a reply to one of your posts. My project 1 with image was on March 20, 2021 at 11:57 pm where you did remove the HTML. Must have posted incorrectly. Too bad replies do not indent under original posts being replied to. :D
  9. I updated the text to add some explanations about project 1. Not going to make corrections of the HTML I see again but wonder if you can see the HTML yourself. That is similar HTML content put in that caused me so much trouble and made the post disappear when I edited the HTML out on previous tries.
  10. OK. Guess that's because I probably put in a website where I normally spent my time instead of scrapbooking. I do free edits for people at that site. Also, I was explaining what site my neighbor's daughter was using those characters in the books she writes. Spam filter doesn't like the names of websites even though I used "DOT" instead of a period. But doesn't explain why it was posting my content ok at first with all the HTML in it. Only deleting it after I went back and edited the HTML out.
  11. Revisted: Images used were characters drawn by a friend's daughter. She uses these characters to illustrate the books she writes using one of the kids social sites. Template used is from one Corel's weekly freebies.
  12. Went overboard as usual since I hate following directions. :P Tried to put a decent pattern for the plate/saucer/cup/silverware. Quit trying as it wasn't working like I wanted it to. Did try to change bread to wheat bread. The color should be close. I don't make real sandwiches neat so messed up ingredients between the slices. Would have preferred the pickles to be sliced differently but didn't know my way around the PSP kitchen to find the right tool. Made coffee afterward. :D Anyway, here 'tis:
