Day 1

You are just starting, so we will go slow at first. Not too much work for you. Let's just get things set up properly.
DOWNLOAD your trial copy of Affinity Photo, if you don't have one yet (the link is just under the green BUY NOW button). You don't have to purchase it as you get 30 days to try it. That is more time than you need to go through the Bootcamp.

INSTALL Affinity Photo. Don't worry, it is not complicated. Just double-click on the .exe file and follow the prompts.

CUSTOMIZE your program. You can adjust a few elements on your workspace in different ways, to suit your own needs, your types of projects, and your personal preferences. Take advantage of that!
Watch the video below to see how I customized mine. You don't have to have an identical workspace, but at least, you know how it is going to look in the video tutorials later on.

 

HOMEWORK

Go to the forum, and tell us what were your preferences as far as the color for your workspace. Are you using a light background like mine or do you prefer the dark one?

Also, post one photo that you are planning on using in the upcoming projects (remember to resize a copy of it to 600 pixels before posting it)
