So I have done another page for project 5.  I used one of the kits suggested today.  I didn’t find it anywere near as stressful.

Here is my day 5 project, although I haven’t written any journaling yet.  As always, I spend so much time trying to pick suitable papers to suit a photo that by the time I decide on something I am getting a bit stressed.  Stupid I know.

This is my other granddaugter Bella, so I’ve now done a page on all four.  I don’t think the yellow looks right, but so far I haven’t found a paper that looks better.

The kit I have used is a sweet shoppe designs freebie called Zip a Dee that I got a couple of years ago, I like it for Bella, she is a pink girl.

I might have another go at this.

And project 4, I used the kit suggestion and found these photos that had similar colours.  It’s anaother of my granddaughters, this time it’s Bianca.  And yes Carole, Tilda has continued with calisthenics, this is her 8th year.

Here is my 3rd project.  These photos are from way back in 2016.  I used elements from the kit Go for the Medal, it is a free kit from Sweet Shoppe designs that I just downloaded today.  The font I used for Calisthenics was Vanilla Cream Cursive which I probably downloaded from Creative Fabrica but I can’t really remember, it sort of looks like ribbons and I thought was appropriate for Calisthenics.

And here is my 2nd project.  I had totally forgotten the Ctrl Y command, so good to be reminded.

Here is my first project, it’s always so good to revisit the Bootcamp, you just forget so much if you don’t keep doing it.  I’m having a bit of trouble though with downloading the free kits, they always seem to want me to pay for them.

For this project I used a Christmas kit I bought a couple of years ago, but I can’t find any beads to add.

    This is my granddaugter Emily.

And here is Day 3.  It’s good to be back doing some scrapbooking.  Always love these challenges, or workshops, it gets me working again.

I’m running a bit late.  Here is my Day 2 pic.  My grandchildren Bianca and Lachlan were pretty excited with this catch.  It was Lach’s first barra.

Thanks so much Carole for this challenge.  As with every other challenge I’ve participated in, I have thoroughly enjoyed myself and feel like I have learnt heaps.

I have made several photo books in the last few years and have used their software, but I much prefer to make the pages with PSP and then just place that image on the page.  For my travel photos I use the 33x26cm size book, I like that size better than the 12×12 for my photos, so I am now making my base page 35x28cm or 4200 x 3300 pixels and make sure I leave a good 2 cm or more space around the edges.

I’m ready now to do a book on our holidays in the Northern Territory with the grandkids.

Thanks again Carole, and hope you had a wonderful birthday, you certainly gave us all a fabulous present.

Thanks Bonnie. Glad you liked the page.  Lach is now a very keen fisherman, but he only wants to catch big fish.  While we gave him a wonderful experience, I think we have spoilt him.

Here is day 6.  For some reason when I reduce the photo to 600 pixels the text gets very feint.  At full size it’s quite dark.  Not sure I’m  happy with the highlighting, but I guess as it’s on its own layer I can always turn it off.  This whole challenge has been lots of fun and I feel like I’ve learnt so much. Hopefully I don’t forget it all!

Annie, the rainbow bee eater is my favourite bird too.  Lots of them in the Territory.  Back in film days, I wasted a whole roll of 36 trying to catch the birds in flight with their beautiful wing colours showing.  They are beautiful birds.

This is my day 5. Still at Kakadu National Park, this is at Ubirr.  This place was featured in the 1st Crocodile Dundee film, for those wondering about Kakadu.  The heading gave me trouble, it took me ages to work out how to get the gradient onto every letter, but eventually it worked.  The tick had something to do with it.  It’s always operator error isn’t it!

Yes MoniqueN. it is Australian.  Kakadu National Park is world famous, it’s in the Northern Territory. Yellow Water Billabong is a beautiful place where you can see the true beauty of the wetlands.  Each time we have taken the grandchildren there, we have taken the sunset cruise at Yellow Water, you see more wildlife action at sunrise or sunset.  The kids have always loved the experience. Nice of you to say you like the layout, I enjoyed revisiting the photos while making it.

Here is day 4.  Still using photos from our trips to the Northern Territory with the grandchildren.  These photos are from the sunset cruise on Yellow Water Billabong.  I decided to use a photo as the background.

I stayed up tonight hoping Day 3 email would come in before I needed to go to bed, so once it arrived I got stuck right in.  Not sure the 3 photos on the left all go together, but they were all taken at the same place, Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin.  Really enjoying this challenge.

Well here is day 2.  I decided to go with mostly landscape photos because I don’t have many that are suitable to portrait ones, let alone long skinny ones. I enjoyed setting it up and decided on using a striped paper as a background and just flipped it horizontally for the 2nd page. And thanks Carole for fixing my problem this morning.

Looking forward to this challenge.  I have decided to use photos of a trip to the Northern Territory with our grandkids. Here is day 1.  It’s so good to revisit making things into masks, you don’t realise how much you have forgotten until you view Carole’s videos again.

Just finished my Module 4 page.  I’m being boring and just following on exactly with what Carole is doing.  I did have a great photo that I wanted to use but didn’t have any suitable papers and elements to go with it, so just used this one.  I’m also adding the drop shadow to my toolbar, thanks for the tip.

Here is my layout for module 3.  I’m finding the videos so helpful, so much information in each one.  I’ve watched this one about 6 times today.  I’m not really happy with the bevel on my title, but I thought it was time to move on.  Maybe it’s the font I don’t like, not sure.

That paper is from Sweet Shoppe Designs Zip a Dee free kit.  I really like it.

well here is my attempt for module 2.  I couldn’t find a banner for the top so have done it without.  This is so good revisiting this great course.

This is so good having a study group and extra helpful emails from Carole.  You don’t realise how much you don’t take in the first time round.  Here is my page, I had added the shadow on the text and then realised Carole said this type of text didn’t need the shadow, but I’ve left it there.

ok, I’ve finally finished my Day 1, I know I’m very slow. But now that Sue has pointed me to the fancy font information I think I’ll go back and edit the name.

As usual I’m running late.  I’ve been able to watch each day’s tutorial but only now have the time to try. So, starting with day 1.  My first question is, how did you get that beautiful stroke at the end of the word Xavier. I have no idea how to do that, it looks so great, like real handwriting. My “r” when I try that word just stops there!
