Here is my take on the sketch. "Do I have my back to you?" asks the owl. Although they are 2 photos of the same bird, the tree to the left of the round image, is almost a perfect match to the edge of the tree in the rectangle image, hense using the techinque I often like to use. Again, it isn't what you look at, but what one sees! lol6 points

I'm pleased you could see why I used the technique I did. Many things I don't notice until I have downloaded the photos, unless they are almost staring me in the face. As I have to capture what I can when I can when it comes to shooting living creatures.4 points

Last "fall" layout for this year I suppose, even if the weather has remained remarkably warm and balmy. The pic was taken at the marina park not far from me where I sometimes walk with the doggies, if it's not too busy. Oops, I see a glitch in the frame. Not fixing it since it's going nowhere but here.3 points

I have all of Carole's punches, which I love to use. Which allows me to choose a punch, that has a design that can be nigh on found in my subjects.3 points

That is so cool about the tree, I can totally see it. I just love this picture. What an amazing shot(s) and an amazing bird.3 points

I suddenly realized that when visiting the States in 2022 we went on a daytrip from Seattle with the ferry to Bainbridge Island and visited the museum there about the Suquamish people. Next to the museum was their burial ground where still burials take place. There are a couple of totem poles and a lot of American flags. It also is the burial place of Chief Sealth who died in 1866. He traded lands for perpetual fishing rights in the Puget Sound because the Suquamish where fishermen. On those lands is now the city of Seattle, which is named in his honor. Although not a Dutch cemetery I have visited an interesting one. We were there on a rather humid day with low visibility, which made for a gloomy atmosphere. My youngest granddaughter didn't liked it all which provoked her older sister to tell stories over bodies rising from their graves😕.3 points

If you use that six more times in one day, you might find the people around you looking at you with a weird expression on their faces!3 points

I think it's because when you use someone's (spell check added the apostrophe) name you use the apostrophe, like Susan's hat. I don't actually have a hat, but if I did I'd have an apostrophe! 🤪3 points

There's a country song that says, "There's no such thing as too much fun." I agree! Just being together is fun...then add good food, ice cream, shopping, pickleball. Yep, fun, fun, fun.3 points

LOL. I guess I'll fix it, especially after it has generated that much conversation. I had copied and pasted it from another source and didn't get around to parsing it or looking at it closely. For everybody who has gotten in on this conversation....enjoy this music video. Worth watching/listening to the end. https://youtu.be/8Gv0H-vPoDc?si=YEhMbX2Ohq9bY14s For what it is worth, I think I did pretty good on the actual SKETCH challenge part of it.2 points

Is it related, at all, to Beetlejuice? 😉 (Note I only typed it one time....)2 points

It's always the older siblings that torture the younger ones. Being the youngest in my family, I can attest to that!2 points

BTW, I like "bug-a-boo." It's my word of the day and I will try to use it in a sentence 7 times before the day is done. Only 6 more times to go!2 points

Whew, that is a long install. I took Humble Bundle up on the offer and it went well. The only thing I dont see is the Vision Fx anywhere except when I look in the app and features section where you UNinstall apps and programs. Does anyone know what Vision Fx even is? All the rest that I ran the installers/.exe for showed up on my desk top and in the start menu. the only thing under V is Vector FX, I cant see VisionFX anywhere...hahaha, considering it's name that's kind of funny. Like Carole mentioned in the masterclass today, I did not download PSP2023 and I have yet to do the brushes as it's getting rather late.2 points

Template 251 by Bourico Casper, AKA, Lady 22. Georgia Golden Olympics. First time Jerry and I have been able to compete in the 80+ age group. I also competed with Michelle in the 60+ age group. She is the youngster. Players can play down in age...so, I at 80 can compete with 60+ players. We won bronze...not too bad.2 points

This is my friend, Judy. I have been her caregiver for sometime. A couple of weeks ago she moved to assisted living. It has been an interesting, difficult and frustrating adventure. This was one of our last adventures before she moved. Freddy's is a new favorite for her. The shoestring fries make a trip to Freddy's worth it all by themselves...and then you get the ice cream and concrete! One of the best fast food places ever!2 points

Well our Santa lives on the North Pole too, but in our case that is in Lapland a geographic area in the utmost northern part of the European countries Norway, Sweden and Finnland through which the Polar circle runs. His official address is in Rovaniemi in Finnland and the postal services even deliver letters from kids addressed to Santa there.🎅1 point

Sue sorry I just see your question now, but of course I can translate this for your friend. You will probably have guessed this is an invoice for 26 days of nursing costs in a hospital in Rotterdam called "Ziekenhuis aan den Coolsingel", which translate to Hospital at the Coolsingel and the Coolsingel was a street with a canal in the center of Rotterdam. It goes on with received from mister L.P. Nielsen the amount of 52 gulden (guilders) and 5 cents for 26 days of nursing costs etc in the 3rd class ward a f 2,-- a day in hospital from October 19 till November 13 1916. Nursing costs.............f 52,-- For the treasurer On the seal is the signature of the administrator and the date 13-11-1916 Charges.............seal f 0,05 the administrator ___________________________ f 52,05 However there is no mention what the treatment or illness may have been. That might mean 2 things: if he was employed somewhere (soldier, government) his employer paid the medical part of the bill or he had some kind of insurance for medical care and had only to pay for the nursing costs. But of course this is an educated guess. Hopefully this helps your friend. If there are more questions I'm most happy to help.1 point

I notice the hawks - when they sit on my back deck looking for lunch - can turn their heads almost right around too!1 point

In this case the "trick" with those 2 trees works fantastic and I had to look very close to notice it. Nice subdued colors that match the colors in the owl's face, I love it.1 point

You can download what you want and leave what you don't want. For example, although I grabbed the license key for PSP2023, I didn't download it, since I already have the Ultimate version. I will just use the key to gift the program to someone, at some point.1 point

I know I've experienced it but not sure of the program... perhaps MS Word. I use it a lot. In fact, I think my MS Edge browser does it, also.1 point

This time, it's a Halloween layout. I always have fun working with this theme, going through my Halloween folder, and choosing something to use. Credits: Background papers from Palvinka (Happy Haunting) & DiHiller (PS2020 Best Witches) plus Blend Mode. Tree Overlay from Granny Enchanted (selected from the papers plus Blend Mode). When I started here, this site was my first source of freebies. I have now downloaded and installed the bundle and it is LARGE. Took about 5 Hours to complete the whole process of registering, paying, downloading and installing. (My broadband connecting speed is about 30Mb/sec which give approximately 3.5Mb/sec of data received) . The biggest files are the Fx files , one of them is 9.5Gb . I am posting this as information to any member who is on a monthly limited connection or a connection slower than mine. Now starts the long process of learning how to use the programmes. I normally download the pdf help files onto a memory card and view them on my tablet ( I am 'old school' and like to have a book to follow)1 point

Here's my November Wild Cat Calendar featuring the Pallas Cat. They are found in Asia and are threatened as a species. Accredited zoos have breeding programs to help species in distress. Granddaughter Jackie's Nashville Zoo was recently working in Botswana with giraffes. This Pallas cat or Manul is being called the new Grumpy Cat. I posted a full size .png on our Facebook page for printing.1 point

I'm interested also. The only way so far that you showed us was in the vector workshop - how to draw around the raster object, highlight the nodes and make them symetrical to soften and make the curves as needed. Works, but Corel Draw has intrigued me for some time, but the cost was too high.1 point
