BTW, I like "bug-a-boo." It's my word of the day and I will try to use it in a sentence 7 times before the day is done. Only 6 more times to go!3 points

I think it's because when you use someone's (spell check added the apostrophe) name you use the apostrophe, like Susan's hat. I don't actually have a hat, but if I did I'd have an apostrophe! ðĪŠ3 points

This is the Month of Remembrance, and I've been doing quite a bit of posting for the veterans and their families in my hometown. I write mini-bios of the veterans and post them on the local high school FB page to remind us of their duty and sacrifices. Longer bios appear in the local Legion newsletter from time to time. There are a number of local "boys" who did not come home from the wars and are buried overseas. And all of them so young. One of the cemeteries that is the resting place of some of those lads is the one in this layout.3 points

Ann again 2 beautiful animals for those months. If it is of any comfort I'm not finished either. Because I have to print in A-4 format I have some adjustments to do before I even can run a test print. I always make my pages in the size they are offered. I calculated a couple of calendars ago that the difference in width is only 90 pixels but the height has + 360 pixels more. After finishing my month I upsize the background + texture when there is one to A-4 and that gives me a nice extra space on the top of the calendar for punching holes or another kind of binding without it going inside the actual pages. At the moment I have almost done every page; only the coverpage isn't ready because I have on the backside of it an index with the names in Dutch of the mushrooms/fungi. Now I have to find the common German names to make a German index and I do that by using the Latin name and then ask google for the German one and maybe I do that for English as well if time allows.2 points

I know I've experienced it but not sure of the program... perhaps MS Word. I use it a lot. In fact, I think my MS Edge browser does it, also.2 points

There's a country song that says, "There's no such thing as too much fun." I agree! Just being together is fun...then add good food, ice cream, shopping, pickleball. Yep, fun, fun, fun.2 points

Sue, considering everything related to it, what a precious document your friend has.2 points

Yes, I believe there are a few in Netherlands as well as in Belgium, France, England, and Middle East. I don't have their names right now.1 point

Julie I wonder: are there local lads from your town that are buried in the Netherlands as well? We have some very big cemeteries of Canadian and American soldiers.1 point

I am all moved and we closed on mom's house on Friday. Not unpacked by a long stretch, but starting to get some of my craft supplies out (finished my sister's birthday card at 4:30 p before they picked me up at 5 p). Looking forward to learning how to understand some of the quirks you get when using type (just had some this project, very annoying).1 point

It's is the shortened version of it is or it has, where its is a possessive word, such as 'beloning to', eg. The bird flew to its nest. It's confirmation that it's on its way. Saying 'the bird flew to it is/has nest simply doesn't sound right. So yes, its is the correct word to use in Daniel's layout.1 point

Template 251 by Bourico Casper, AKA, Lady 22. Georgia Golden Olympics. First time Jerry and I have been able to compete in the 80+ age group. I also competed with Michelle in the 60+ age group. She is the youngster. Players can play down in age...so, I at 80 can compete with 60+ players. We won bronze...not too bad.1 point

I'm asking for a friend, who has asked me if I knew of anyone who could translate this document. Some of you ladies immediatley came to mind. Jack is an old dear Saskatchewan friend, and it's his father who was hospitalized in Holland during WW1 in 1916 for 10 days. On behalf of Jack who would be greatly appreciative. Possibly , it says what he was being treated for.1 point

This time, it's a Halloween layout. I always have fun working with this theme, going through my Halloween folder, and choosing something to use. Credits: Background papers from Palvinka (Happy Haunting) & DiHiller (PS2020 Best Witches) plus Blend Mode. Tree Overlay from Granny Enchanted (selected from the papers plus Blend Mode). When I started here, this site was my first source of freebies. In the Netherlands there are now a lot more cremations than burials! That is the case in my family and my husband's. Of course I have to attend burials from friends or people I know and go out of compassion with them. When that is the case I do not take photos and I never go back to do so, it doesn't appeal to me. Over here after a cremation you can have the urn put in an urn wall at a cemetery or crematorium or put it in an already existing grave; you can scatter the ashes at a special field next to the crematorium or at sea; you can take the urn home with you. My mom and dad choose the scattering field and as a family you can witness it if you wish to. The children of my sister in law scattered their mother's ashes over a lake where she lived nearby her whole life and another sister in law's ash was sprinkled over the sea from a ship. I always loved the little cemeteries in the Alpes in the tiny villages full with flowers and well tended to, but you can't take photos when you pass by and a burial is taking place.1 point

Here's my November Wild Cat Calendar featuring the Pallas Cat. They are found in Asia and are threatened as a species. Accredited zoos have breeding programs to help species in distress. Granddaughter Jackie's Nashville Zoo was recently working in Botswana with giraffes. This Pallas cat or Manul is being called the new Grumpy Cat. I posted a full size .png on our Facebook page for printing.1 point
