Template 251 by Bourico Casper, AKA, Lady 22. Georgia Golden Olympics. First time Jerry and I have been able to compete in the 80+ age group. I also competed with Michelle in the 60+ age group. She is the youngster. Players can play down in age...so, I at 80 can compete with 60+ players. We won bronze...not too bad.5 points

This is my friend, Judy. I have been her caregiver for sometime. A couple of weeks ago she moved to assisted living. It has been an interesting, difficult and frustrating adventure. This was one of our last adventures before she moved. Freddy's is a new favorite for her. The shoestring fries make a trip to Freddy's worth it all by themselves...and then you get the ice cream and concrete! One of the best fast food places ever!5 points

I had to look this up, it's (it has) being a long time since I knew the difference. I've been using it wrong for many years I think.4 points

Ann, the calendar is lovely, and the photo you chose for the cover did justice to it.4 points

I'm back! I was MIA for a while b/c life can sometimes get in the way of our plans and other activities. When things are rocky, I tend to withdraw and lick my wounds until I regain my balance. I couldn't produce anything for a while; the simplest layout was beyond me. I visit cemeteries quite a bit. As a family historian and general history researcher, both cemeteries and obituaries are goldmines of info. Folks with these types of interests tend to favour time spent with the dearly departed. This layout features the small rural cemetery where my family are buried. It's such a tranquil place with a huge garden behind the actual burial ground. The granite bench (put in by my family) that you can see in the bottom right is where I sit while I am visiting. The quiet is absolute and restorative. Rarely a vehicle goes by, only birdsong and the wind. Sigh. It restoreth my soul, as they say. I was interested in playing with lines and stitches based on a layout I saw that used these elements. There are so many different bits in this that I couldn't list them. The white crosses at some graves are indicators of war veterans.4 points

It's is the shortened version of it is or it has, where its is a possessive word, such as 'beloning to', eg. The bird flew to its nest. It's confirmation that it's on its way. Saying 'the bird flew to it is/has nest simply doesn't sound right. So yes, its is the correct word to use in Daniel's layout.2 points

I'm asking for a friend, who has asked me if I knew of anyone who could translate this document. Some of you ladies immediatley came to mind. Jack is an old dear Saskatchewan friend, and it's his father who was hospitalized in Holland during WW1 in 1916 for 10 days. On behalf of Jack who would be greatly appreciative. Possibly , it says what he was being treated for.2 points

This time, it's a Halloween layout. I always have fun working with this theme, going through my Halloween folder, and choosing something to use. Credits: Background papers from Palvinka (Happy Haunting) & DiHiller (PS2020 Best Witches) plus Blend Mode. Tree Overlay from Granny Enchanted (selected from the papers plus Blend Mode). When I started here, this site was my first source of freebies. Cliparts from Corel, Freepik, and openclipart.org Cassel: Journaling Bits Script & the Effect on the Friendly Alien Clipart (Pop-up Masterclass) Font: Halloween Girls2 points

I have now downloaded and installed the bundle and it is LARGE. Took about 5 Hours to complete the whole process of registering, paying, downloading and installing. (My broadband connecting speed is about 30Mb/sec which give approximately 3.5Mb/sec of data received) . The biggest files are the Fx files , one of them is 9.5Gb . I am posting this as information to any member who is on a monthly limited connection or a connection slower than mine. Now starts the long process of learning how to use the programmes. I normally download the pdf help files onto a memory card and view them on my tablet ( I am 'old school' and like to have a book to follow)2 points

Here's my November Wild Cat Calendar featuring the Pallas Cat. They are found in Asia and are threatened as a species. Accredited zoos have breeding programs to help species in distress. Granddaughter Jackie's Nashville Zoo was recently working in Botswana with giraffes. This Pallas cat or Manul is being called the new Grumpy Cat. I posted a full size .png on our Facebook page for printing.2 points

These huge gatherings are a common occurrence at this time of year. When I first came here it was ever so overwhelming to witness. I still get overwhelmed at many of the sights.1 point

I was 14 when we lost my sister (who had recently turned 15). At the time we lived in California. In 2005, my mother passed away. Her cremains are buried in Arlington National Cemetery, where she will be joined by my father when he passes on, (hopefully not any time soon, though he turned 82 this past February).1 point

The cemetery my parents are buried in is right here in town. I've gone there for many years multiple times during the year. For quite a few years I would go 3 times in May -- Mother's Day, May 20 which was my mother's birthday and Memorial Day. Then I would go on Dec 26 which was her date of death. After Dad passed away 8 years ago, I would go once in May, June 14 (his date of death), Oct 15 (their anniversary), Dec 1 (his birthday) and Dec 26. So I pretty much saw all the seasons of the trees in the cemetery. I always take photos when I go. Since a couple of the dates fall in the months that I do a layout for each day of the month, I have scrapped a lot of layouts of the cemetery. I will share a few. My October layout in 2023 was a few days late because I wasn't feeling good after my surgery. In December 2020 we had a snowstorm on the 1st so I went on the 2nd. The last layout is one I did in 2012.1 point
