Autumn magic. Font is today's free one from Creative fabrica . (Fire-Boys-28596705). The background is from CF - Watercolor Mega Halloween Midnight Blue Bundle from last year I think. The campfire is from Watercolor-Campfire-clipart-63727433. I liked it better without the shadows on anything for this one.4 points

Something totally different and not what I make often. This card is for my very dear friend who will be turning 80 in a couple of weeks. It is just a miracle she is still among us and I have sent her a card every week when she had chemo with a lot of complications in the early days of the covid pandemic. She is doing well but has a lot of side effects from the ongoing treatment. She always loves birthdays with all that comes with it like pendants, flags, garlands around her chair, balloons and so on. Of course I could have made a nice card with some flowers but I have sent so many like that to her that I wanted something different this time. I have a couple of balloons in my stash and changed the colors to my liking for this card. Duplicated each of the recolored ones, put 80 between the two layers and reduced the opacity of the top balloon. In my stash are some translucent balloons with confetti in them, so I made confetti with cass-ConfettiMaker script also round and in the same colors. That confetti in a smaller size is inside the text too. It will be a double card with my logo on the back, probably with a small balloon as well. My birthday wishes will be handwritten inside. I sincerely hope she will like it.....4 points

Although the Nordic lights were visible in my country, we didn't see anything! Where I live there is simply too much lightpollution and there isn't an uninterrupted view of the sky. A lot of trees, streetlamps and light from the glasshouses that shine very brightly and far. One benefit of all the trees is that their leaves are starting to change color!3 points

Thanks and I had two layers for each balloon with the 80 in it and shadowed the back layer with a very light shadow almost but not quite a reverse shadow with a low opacity. Balloons, at least mine are translucent and that means to me they will cast only a very light shadow. But to be honest I was surprised to see the result I got because it worked as well on the confetti balloons which only had 1 layer. You just have to give it a try and think what kind of shadow balloons will give in the real world 🎈2 points

Thanks Michele and I have my own system of storing the goodies I collect and for most of them it is quite easy to categorize them, but in this whole lot there are some that don't belong to any of my categories. I'll have to make a new one but I'll do that after I have looked into them and see where I can put them.2 points

I missed the aurora on Thursday night! All my friends in Ohio were posting photos they took but I was in Massachusetts on Cape Cod with lots of light pollution. My friend and I decided not to go outside and see if we could see anything. We were both tired from our sightseeing that day on Martha's Vineyard. The museum here in town got some awesome shots with it in the background. And, the NWS (national weather service) office in Wilmington, Ohio (located not too far from Cincinnati) got some awesome shots as well. I follow a guy that does the weather on a Dayton TV station (will graduate with a degree in meteorology in December) on Facebook and he always lets people know when they might be viewable in our area. Hopefully there will be another time when I'm home that it happens! Trip was a great time and I have lots of photos to scrap!2 points

This is simply fabulous! I love everything about it. I'm impressed with how you were able to add shadows to the transparent balloons. I end up adding a shadow and erasing the part that's under the transparent part. How did you do it?2 points

I stopped spending money a long time ago; there are too many freebies available, especially in the blog trains. I've stopped myself from downloading anything new (well, I've slowed down anyway). I have literally thousands of zip files I have yet to open and organize. To organize my supplies I have different folders in a main folder I call Creations. It includes folders for Backgrounds, Textures and Overlays, Clip Art, Templates, etc. I make sure the names of the files include the source and include a preview pic (if there is one) in the folders. If I find something I want to use, I can do a search in Creations for all the items included in that kit. I don't know if this makes sense to anyone else but it works for me.2 points

Hi all, I have been "missing in action" for a while now. Hope you are all ok. 🙂 I have so many hobbies and that's why. I bought myself a sublimation printer, so with my Cricut cutting machine, I'm busy with that now. And card making also with my Cricut 🙂 Looking forward to the calendar workshop, I will be more around then. Will have a look at what you guys made with PSP later on 🙂1 point

I have to stop downloading and buying too! I couldn't possibly use what I have accumulated in a decade or more! But freebies? That's a different kettle of fish.1 point

No VIP should clean a bathroom! That's what men are for, right?1 point

I watched the three videos, they were great. I joined the VIP email list too. hahaha, the first time I've being a VIP in my life! I'm gonna make my husband clean the the bathrooms today! After all, a VIP wouldnt do that, am I right? I'm still buying kits till the end of the year and then hopefully stopping and using only what I have. I see she has some pretty great deals coming too.1 point

Oh Ann, that brings back such memories for me. I too was usually seen wearing cowboy gear and rarely dresses. And my mother was an extraordinary seamstress who kitted out my dolls instead of me. I don't have any of those things anymore, but I sure remember them. Thanks for the memory! And I do recall Margaret O'Brien. Perfect layout for the theme.1 point

These are just stock photos, but they do showcase The Dress. My mother complained that I would never wear a dress. (I was usually outfitted in a cowboy outfit.) Then I saw the movie "Meet Me in St. Louis" and Margaret O'Brien, who was a huge child star at the time (she actually won an Oscar for this) wearing what I deemed a beautiful dress. Well, my mother immediately jumped on the idea and voila, I had the dress. The template is from Lab 14-04, the title is Corlita Sans, the heart is from Melo Vrighof and the washi tape is from Jessica Dunn.1 point

Just playing around with pieces from the Anna Aspnes freebies. And wishing my fellow PSPers a Happy Thanksgiving (well, the Canadian ones anyway). The only bit I "created" was the beaded string effect. It's an idea taken right from AA. I used her strings and the alpha beads come from Marisa Lerin (I started making my own and then gave up!). Oh, and the text is something I made some time ago, just added the Canadian flag to it.1 point

I love rainbows, unfortunately I see very few of them out on the prairies. The jackdaw was meant to complete the shot.1 point

You might have been reluctant to do it, but the layout works so well! Love the colours.1 point

And it seems to be the gift that keeps on giving. You'll get emails about more freebies to come! Gotta love that. I'm still watching her videos and trying to use the techniques that she has developed for such unique layouts.1 point

Lab 13 Mod 5. did'nt really want to do this, but finally tried out the fringe paper. Made several of them - three in Mardi Gras colors (which I used for this layout), two in Halloween colors and two in Valentine colors? The picture was taken by my daughter and is actually after Mardi Gras but in February. The font is from Creative Fabrica (where all my specialty fonts are from) and is called Adventure Island ScriptRough. The mask I got sometime back and might have been from CF or NicePng.1 point
