  2. An ever changing landscape! I drive through this valley en route shopping once a week, or once a fortnight. An incredible display of colour as the sun was rising yesterday morning. Well worth leaving early, even though I had to wait for the shops to open.

  3. Sometimes, depending on the wind and weather conditions we have hot air balloons coming over our house. When we hear the sound of the burner we will have a look where the balloon is. Today was such a day and I went to look at the back on the patio if I could see the balloon which was quite low and just right over our house but already to far to take a photo, so I quickly went to the frontdoor, which was still locked.... I was on time to take a couple of shots, but I had backlight. Luckily there is a little tree and by standing a bit in the shade I could take the photos.

  4. I just have to share this. Quite by accident I came across a designer on FB who offers a rather large number (40!) of FREE zipped files. Her style is very artsy and mixed media-ish which I enjoy emulating. She's much like Katie Pertiet in that way. https://annaaspnesdesigns.com/products Her name is Anna Aspnes. Her site offers the download link at the bottom of the home page. All you need is to sign up for her newsletters, confirm in your email, and then follow the links they send for the downloads. Three videos (quite basic) are also free. Just putting it out there for my fellow PSPers who might enjoy some of her materials. Share with friends is what Mama taught me! 😁

  5. Week 40 This is a photo of an installation called ‘Stars for Eternity’ inside Hexham Abbey. There are 6,000 paper origami stars made by local people and suspended in the chancel.

  7. I encourage you to do so! There is a masterclass, 'Adjust What!' I can see this technique being used in your exquisite layouts, with impressive results.

  10. Thank you Julie and I have downloaded the whole bunch. It will take all my free time this whole weekend to look what is in it! I only opened a couple of the zipfiles and it looks already very promising to say the least. You do your mama proud!😄

  11. Oops... thought I’d posted this but hadn’t. Week 39 I wanted to photograph a rather majestic tree but this bull settled himself in my shot and wouldn’t move so I photographed him instead.

  12. I have several of the KONG Classic Stuffable Dog Toys. I use some of Foxy's dry dog food and mix it with a little bit of leftover (usually) meat and a little water mixed together to stuff them with. I put them in the freezer and get one out every morning that I go to work and give her one. Freezing them makes it take longer for her to get all the goodies out. I started this when she was young and we were working a lot to keep her from being upset when we were leaving. Boy do I get a dirty look and told off if I almost forget to give her one. I guess that wouldn't work for a very big dog, but she is only about 15 lbs and not an aggressive chewer.

  14. For my 65th birthday a few years ago we went to the Florida Keys. It was something I had wanted to do for a long time. There a several tourist attractions in the keys, especially Key West,

  15. Quite a while ago we bought a single serve coffee machine. There are only two of us so making a carafe of coffee was a big waste. However then coffee machines use coffee pods that are not really environmentally friendly. They are just coffee in a small plastic packages. So I got reusable coffee pods and fill them with coffee. There is nothing to throw away except used coffee grounds and they go in the compost. The second machine is a soda drink making machine. Now we no longer buy soft drinks in cans; less waste in recycling. I like the reusable paper towels ideas. Cool to see you husband at the serger.

  16. Last one for this challenge. Again, I used one of my own painted frames. When was the last time anyone used the adjustment layers?

  17. I'm a day late, but I'm here. I used one of Cassel's edge punches on a straight line, then ran the Mitered Corner script for both frames. The original tries were done manually, but I'm hard on myself and couldn't get them to line up perfectly. I couldn't resist adding a little gnome. I found the pic on Google.

  18. Here is another one using my own template. The beauty of creating one's own allows you to have wider and narrower spaces between the frames, and widths of the frames.

  19. I didn't use the freebie, I used one of the templates I created myself, as I don't have the script. The tag is from my own resourses, the backgroundpaper is a paper template. Colours taken from the photo, and the leafy element.

  20. Going to combine an image from the Random Challenge project with the latest freebie.

  21. I needed a new card to send to a friend of us and I know he likes flowers too, but I didn't want the card to be too girlie. I used one of my photos taken of summer bells (Leucojum Gravetye Giant) with a mask by Jessica Dunn and of course the freebie frames. I had to change the colors of the frames for something that goes with the photo but I kept the transparency of them. The background is made of the same photo with a lot of blur and an overlay of paint streaks that I did for another project with reduced opacity. To let the frames stand out a bit they got a very light shadow with an offset of 1 and no blur. The font is Belinda. The card has to go in the mail so it is a double card with my logo on the back and I'm going to print it later today.
