  2. I want to join the Photo Circle Template script action too. Here is a 8 week P52 challenge recap. took a few times through the script to get the right size for the P52 size ( i chose the custom shape choice as I wanted a rectangle. then I added a frame around each one adding a shadow and reverse shadow as well. I did have to erase a little bit of the spill over shadow on the last one and I managed to remember how to do that. The fonts I used are Linna and Lophinky (i might have spelled that wrong - both from Creative Fabrica).

  3. Week 8 At the start of the week I planted some vegetable seeds. I don’t know why I took a photo of three of the tomato packets but I’m glad I did because life got in the way last week and no other photos were taken… Fingers crossed, later in the year there’ll be some photos of actual tomatoes.

  4. Bonnie, your stories are so touching. It's beautiful to see how rich in love your life is now.

  5. Ah, I used the new template, also. Here is grandson, Tyler-John (28), just back from his first Caribbean vacation in Costa Rica all by himself! (He says he hasn't had time to develop any romantic relationships yet. 😉) I used the cass-datestamp9. The toucan bird is from a kit "Froot Loops." (Does he qualify for the Rainbow Challenge?) The background photo is from Alamy_MHKT6M.

  9. My story is similar to Corrie's. However, I was first born and, like Corrie, had a sister who did not survive birth. I do not remember the event at all. My parents did tell me about it but with no details...you now know what I know. My Mother was told by the doctor not to try to have another child...therefore, in a sense, I am an only. This layout will tell you about my Sister From Another Mister:

  10. This is awesome, Marie-Claire! You’re right, the charm doesn’t look metallic, but it *does* look wooden, so that’s cool, too. The metallic letters are beautiful, as is the entire layout. I’m going to Google Scottish Collie because I thought you once said Pancho was a Rough Collie. I want to see if there is a difference in Europe that we don’t know about over here! ☺️

  12. I am an only child, also, and only learned about my parents' previous marriages when I was 12 or so. My first question to them was "do I have any brothers or sisters"? My parents started late having children and none of their friends had any my age. I was so happy to go to school and find friends! My dad worked for the Erie Railroad. When I had my daughter, Debbie, I vowed she's not be an "only" and had Laurey 19 months later. 👶👶 This layout is from Aug 2020. I used the kit: Lady Bug Hugs and the title font is Snap ITC.

  13. I grew up as an only child, but in fact I wasn't! My parents had a child before me, also a girl which died at childbirth after a normal pregnancy. In those days just after WWII there was no way to interfere as we now are accustomed to. I only found out that I had a sister just by accident because nobody talked about it, although I always had a feeling something out of the ordinary had happened. My mother didn't even got to see her baby, let alone held it! It was thought that it was better this way, how cruel! When I was a bit older I came to realize that my mom was severely traumatized and until her death never coped with it together with the trauma from living through WWII as well. Luckily my dad whom I adored was different, so my childhood was okay. My dad came from a large family and he was the youngest of 12 and I had lots of cousins but they all were considerably older than I was. The difference between me and the cousin above me was 14 years and when we had family gatherings I was the only little one and now all minus one are deceased. I have only a couple of very bad photos and I used one of those for this layout, because it is characteristic of how it was. From the left side there are 3 aunties who were single and lived together in the family apartment and I was there quite often. To the right is my mom and we are practicing a song. My dad's side of the family is very musical; he played the violin, my aunt the grandpiano, another aunt a flute, my grandfather who had already died and an uncle played the organ in church. The rest of them was in a choir. I think I was about 3 or 4 in this photo. I had to fix the very dark and faded photo to get something that I could use. It was ripped at the edges as well, which I kept. The street plan of Rotterdam is from the sixties and that fits in with my story. The instruments are dingbats called 212 Music Dingbats, the music staff is by Janet Scot and the font is Ana's Faded Typewriter which I think is fitting! The picture frame is in PSP.

  15. Week 6, In Leuven, the city where I live, almost 2,000 Chinese live. To celebrate the Chinese New Year on February 10, the Chinese association 'Nihao Leuven' put together a colorful dragon of up to 10 meters long for a dragon parade in Leuven Center. He is joined by two lions.

  16. Here's my childhood toy, a wooden red sled built by my grandfather, Emil Hagquist, who emigrated here from Finland in the early 1900s. I was born the year WWII started and there were no commercial children's sleds to be found in the stores as all the manufacturing was devoted to the war effort. This is an etching created by my daughter, Debbie Lennox, who actually played with this sled. Note, there is no steering mechanism; you had to drag your toes to steer. 😉

  17. In week 3 I showed a photo from a little container with bulbs partly covered with snow/ice and this is how they look now. They are in full bloom despite all the rain we are getting and today when I took this photo it was dry with better light for a photo. There are still raindrops on them and those haven't had the chance to dry because we have had more rain for the rest of the day.💦☔I don't think I will have a better chance on a good photo because we now (it's evening here) get storm as well with warnings in place.

  20. DAY 7 - a bit late but I wanted to finish it For the background, I did the dots at 100%. Then I decided it might be interesting to do another layer, in a different colour, with dots at 50%. I like them both so used them in the background. My image was just something that I liked that I created using the Kaleidoscope tool. Then, I thought it might be interesting to remove the image and have just a paper at 3600 x 3600. I am including the picture of that as well. Thanks everyone for the great work you have done. Thank you, Carole, for hosting this. It has been fun.

  21. Lesson 7 Bree serif is the font Datestamp from Cassel Text translation: I have learned "Zo gaat de molen"(A oldfashioned Dutch song for young children) to my granddaughter (just 2 years now) Singing aong is still a bit difficult, but the movements with the song, she can do.During our last visit to the Open lucht museum in sept. 2023, we took more mill photo's and put them on our digital photo frame. Every time she sees a mill, she starts to sing and move. And we sing along with her!" It was fun to do this course again (Except the linoleum) , it reminds me to paint shop more often, because you forget some techniques or handy short cuts 🙂

  23. I guess I'll post this one here, too, as it fits the theme. I already posted it in the Mask Workshop. Since I'm an only child, I don't have any siblings though I did wish I had some when I was young.
