Cassel Posted June 1 Posted June 1 It is a new month and new projects. Show off what you are working on in June be it a scrapbook page, a collage, a tutorial, or anything else you want. We are curious and want to see, learn, and get inspired. These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming! Remember to size down your image to about 600x600 pixels and save it in .jpg format before posting it (if you are creating a double page, you can resize it to 1000 pixels in width if you don't want to post the pages separately). Here are a few guidelines for everyone: when you post a project, give as much information on your sources or techniques used. It will help others who are curious and would like to do the same. if someone uses something that you like on their page, ask where they got it. Sometimes, you can go get it too and it will be better quality than trying to extract it (as it would have been resized to post in the forum anyway). if it is something that they did from scratch, ask how they did it. It would be so helpful to everyone! if you like a photo and would like to “play with it”, ALWAYS ask permission. Sometimes, there are some limitations and the person is not allowed to let others use it. Don’t get them in trouble. Usually, people are happy to say yes (if they can) when you ask politely. And if you get permission, you might get a better-quality image than the resized image anyway.
kasany Posted June 1 Posted June 1 "Waves" from the past. I have tried a work with a PSP script to frame of the pic be fine /not too large and not too little/. I gave up the script so...I used only PSP. 3 8
Ann Seeber Posted June 1 Posted June 1 (edited) My Wildlife Calendar for June 2025 features the Black-footed Cat, one of nature's fiercest felines and also the smallest. The black is only on the pads of their feet. My source is How Stuff Works.com The fonts are Aviation Cocktail and Arial. The background paper is a cutting board pattern from Elif Sahin. The template is from the Campus Calendar Workshop last October. The small journaling says: "The deadliest cat on Earth is also one of the smallest. It earns this title by having a hunting success rate of 60%, the highest of all cat species. They eat between eight and 14 meals every evening, and just one of the felines can devour upwards of 3,000 rodents per year." I also posted the full size version for printing in the Files section of our Facebook group. Edited June 1 by Ann Seeber corrected typo 11
Anne Lamp Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I created these two silhouettes from screenshots from an Explore live cam I watch. It was a grey cloudy day which made it easier to delete the sky behind the trees. 6 5
Anne Lamp Posted June 1 Posted June 1 I then used these silhouettes in the foreground for a photo I took. Since the screenshots were not very large files I wasn't sure how they would work on a fairly large photo (4600 x 3600) 5 6

Cristina Posted June 2 Posted June 2 I'm missing Julie Magerka's layout. She has been MIA for a while. 1

Donna Sillia Posted June 3 Posted June 3 We just returned from a mini vacation to visit my daughter and her husband in Fredericksburg, VA. There are "Love" signs in many of the sites that we toured. The barrel and the fish are from Adobe Express. The Virginia map is from a font and filled with a texture from FF. I missed the Affinity Vector workshop and plan to complete it soon. 3 7
Anne Lamp Posted June 3 Posted June 3 (edited) I have been on a kick playing with making a silhouette from some of my pictures. Here is one of them and how I used it on a picture from probably creative fabrica. (Green-meadow-and-castle-9407905 DSC_2705) If I was going to use it somewhere else I think I would call it "looking at the castle from the dead forest. Edited June 3 by Anne Lamp 2 1 8

Anne I like what you did with all the silhouette photos, it looks so natural. 4
Mary Solaas Posted June 4 Posted June 4 (edited) Back on the Vector Workshop. This is the 5th day - words on a path on a picture and words above and below a circle on a picture. Edited June 4 by Mary Solaas 3 4

Hank Sobah Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Just did the Let's Be Creative workshop - I sure need to work on better grass blades 🙂 Just want to say that I'm using PSP 2022 and I don't have the ForegroundBacground gradient. 2 1

I seem to remember I had the same issue with one of the versions. Is PSP 2022 an upgrade for you? If so, look in your folders from your prior version. I think the gradients are kept in Corel_06 folders. 4

Cristina Posted June 6 Posted June 6 (edited) Since the Vector Workshop, I’ve been watching and practicing a few video tutorials for PSE and Affinity. I wish I had more time to experiment with the programs and create something in PSP, but that isn’t possible right now. This is my attempt to replicate the Affinity Revolution's CRAZY Perspective Bending Composite! Affinity Photo Tutorial. It uses the Perspective Filter. Yesterday was my first attempt, and it was successful. However, when I tried reopening the .afphoto file, the app crashed. Yeah, this also happens in Affinity. 😊 Today, I tried again, and it crashed while I was adding a shadow. After another attempt, starting from scratch, I managed to complete it without any issues. Cristina Posted June 6 Posted June 6 These are the images given by Affinity Revolution to work with. 2

I love seeing your cat calendar every month. 5 1

It shows, Michele, that it can happen with any app. 🙂 Both images are free to download; the link is provided in the YouTube video description. The picture I posted was just the girl who was selected from the image below. I'm not sure why the crashes happened. It could have been because the "Model. afphoto" file was created in a previous version (a warning is displayed about it). But I made a copy of it and saved it in the newer version. Working with the Perspective Filter is tricky, too. In the end, I saved a PNG file, which I then used. 4
Mary Solaas Posted June 7 Posted June 7 The 7th and last of the Vector Workshop for PSP. The knife tool is a very interesting tool. I believe it is used for the making of paper clips also. I'm sure there are several other uses to use that tool for. I tried it on the heart I made to turn it into a "bleeding heart flower", but I failed. I'll post this in the q&a thread. Anyway, I finished with the partial circle and the partial text. The text I used was Adventure Island Script. The gradient background I made with pink and green from my Spring Kit colors. 5
Mary Solaas Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) @Anne Lamp I'm fascinated with what you have done with the silhouettes. You have an interesting mind. LOVE IT!!!🥰😁 Edited June 7 by Mary Solaas 3
