Hi, Cassel,

i fixed this problem for Windows 10 years ago, but it’s not working for Windows 11. Any advice?  It’s becoming a big problem to not see the thumbnails in Windows Explorer!

I use Thumbnail Handler as well and can see most of the them. I had the same problem years ago and when I updated to Windows 11 the thumbnail handler still worked.

Ok, I had it all fixed in Windows 10 with Sage something, but it doesn’t work with Windows 11, but guess what?? Now my Photoshop thumbnails show up! Honestly Windows 10 is so superior to Windows 11, I can hardly believe it’s an upgrade and not a punishment!

Thanks,, everybody!

PSD files don't show up for me in Win11 but pspimage files do without any extra app. I don't worry about the PSD files because I use Picasa to look at my graphics files and PSD files show up in it. All the PSD files are templates and I choose them from Picasa when I'm scrapping. Pspimage files don't show up in Picasa but since those are my layout files, it isn't a big deal (and will never show up in Picasa since Picasa is no longer available).

I really haven't noticed any differences between Win 10 and Win 11. The stuff I read about that I thought would bother me hasn't seemed any different.

For me PSD files don't show up too, but most of the time they have a small jpg example that at least shows how they look. That allows me to find them quickly.

True, but I do have some really old psd files that the designer did not include a jpg preview. But I don't use Win Explorer to look at items when I'm scrapping, I use Picasa. I pull everything from it and just drag and drop to the layers palette which preserves the file name in PSP.

I have Windows 11, and the thumbnails also show without extra apps.

About the PSD files not showing in Windows, I also have a small JPG file.

Holy Cow, It's been a really long journey on this, but finally I got PSP Thumbnail Handler to work. Thank you for the suggestions!

I am pretty sure I got the entirely wrong program when I tried this before, but baby I'm back now! Yay!

Hi Suzy.  I saw your post and I am also not seeing PSP thumbnails.  I have Windows 11 and from I’ve seen in this thread I’m not the only one having issues.  I hate that I can’t see them!  Ugh!  I see you got PSP Thumbnail Handler to work.  I’ve never heard of this…..app?  Could you give me more info please?  I’ll give you my email addy because I’m not that confident I’ll find you again🤭  Thanks for any help, CorvetteKaren

Karen, I will jump in to point to the Resource page: https://scrapbookcampus.com/resources/

You will find a link to the PSP Thumbnail Handler in the Utility section.

I know the time is approaching to update to Win 11, but I'm still dragging my feet. There are issues with Win 10 (as mentioned here) but I'm so used to it. I've used Win 11 on other devices and have not warmed to it yet.

With Win 10, I can see both PSP and PS icons, but not the thumbnail pic. I'm hoping this is not going to be the issue with Win 11.

Do you mean you keep a small jpeg for yourself in place of the thumbnail?

Most template designers that do psd files also include a 600x600 jpg file in their downloads.

Julie, as Rene mentioned, 600px JPEGs are usually included.

I still couldn’t fix the thumbnail issue. I tried the Thumbnail  Handler App but that hasn’t worked for me so far.  I do not get an image in my thumbnail, I get the PSP logo (the big ‘P’) on top of the thumbnail.  This occurs on  thumbnails that are saved as a pspimage.  JPEGs show up with an image with no issue.  I contacted Corel Support and though we went back and forth trying different things,  they did not have a solution.  Ugh!  Wish I could go back to Windows 10!

I am also running Windows 11. I found an app in the Microsoft Store called File Viewer Plus. I downloaded and installed it and it does display the thumbnails for .psd files.  Hopes this helps.
